"Hello." Kaylee said cheerfully, sliding into the seat across from the mysterious man. He looked her up and down as she sat in front of him and returned the smile slightly.
"'Ello." He replied. "To what do I owe the pleasure of the company of such a pretty young lady?" He asked, his smile widening. Kaylee blushed in the slightest and looked down at her hands.
"You looked lonely." She replied simply. "And I don't like for people to be lonely." She glanced back up at him. "So what's your name?"
"Mitchell." He answered at once. "And yours?"
"Kaylee." She told him, her smile warm, bright, and inviting. "Kaylee Ireland."
"Well Kaylee," Mitchell began, "How long have you lived around here?"
"Oh, not long. Only a couple of months. I'm still trying to learn my way around here." She answered bashfully. She wasn't exactly embarrassed to admit that she didn't quite know her way around just yet, but she felt that she should since she'd lived here for several months.
"Well, if you'd like, I could show you around some." Mitchell offered kindly, his smile still remaining on his perfect face.
"Really?" Kaylee asked in disbelief. Why would a stranger want to do anything for her?
"Well, sure. Why not? Such a lovely lady shouldn't be allowed to get lost out here. Besides, I don't want you getting mixed up with the wrong kinds of people." His words were serious, but the tone of his voice and the twinkle in his green eyes told her that he meant it lightly.
"Alright, then." Kaylee said with a smile. "When should we be heading off?"
