For those of you who happened to see my One-Shot book this may look REALLY familiar
The day of lovers, or for others, a day to admit your feelings for a special person.
For you, it meant any other day, your parents out and about and leaving you at home by yourself.
In fact, at the moment, you were lounged on the couch and watching a movie, by yourself of course.
It was nine at night and your parents had left only a few minutes ago, leaving you to spend Valentines day alone.
However, you didn't mind, the endless amount of ice cream in the fridge was enough for you.
"Nemo!!! Nooo!! You should have listened to your father!!" You blubbered, scooping a big bite of ice cream out its carton.
Your phone was forgotten, sitting in between the couch cushions as you intensely watched the movie commence.
That is, until it went off, vibrating the couch beneath you, the sudden sound and movement scaring you slightly.
After much searching, your hand slipped between the cushion and pulled the device out, but it was too late.
Without a second thought, you tossed it across the couch again, flopping down and getting comfortable.
The time showed only ten minutes later, the sound of a car pulling in your driveway awakening you from your trance.
The headlights illuminated the dark living room, shining brightly against the wall.
Your parents said they wouldn't be back for a while, so it couldn't be them, anyway last time you checked their headlights weren't led.
"What the hell!?!" You whispered, jumping up quickly, grabbing the lamp from its stand beside you.
The car engine shut off, along with the headlights, a door shutting soon behind.
Panic stricken, you stalked up to the door, the lamp shaking in your hand, it's cover clinking against the porcelain structure.
A soft knock echoed through the house, but quickly stopping as the doorknob jingled, unlocking with a click.
Just as it started to creak open you screamed and threw the lamp, smashing it against the wall with a shatter.
Whoever was on the other side cursed loudly, ducking as the pieces of glass and porcelain spread out.
"What the hell, Y/N!!?!" A deep voice yelled, slinging open the door in a dramatic flourish.
Standing in the mess you made, was Vincent, your work partner and friend, his face set in surprise, holding two bags in his hands.
Red spread across your face, embarrassed, remembering that not only just your parents know where the spare key is.
"Sorry.." You muttered, looking at your feet as he sighed, rushing to the kitchen to get the broom.
His mutters could be heard from across the house, making you feel even worse.
He quickly returned, dropping the bags on your couch, moving to clean up the mess.
"I can do tha-" you started, being interrupted by a hand on your mouth.
"You talk to much" he smirked, removing his hand and pushing you backwards playfully.
You laughed, helping him clean up the sharp pieces of the broken lamp, Finding Nemo playing on the TV being the only sound.
Finally, all the pieces were picked up, being throw in the trash properly.
