Jace's POV

“Mom, I'm home!” Kimmy shouted and Katy motioned for him to go in the den and meet her since they were both sitting on the deck.

“Kimmy.” he said and she closed the fridge door, then turned around to face him.

“Where's my mom and Kimar?”

“They're on the deck. She told me to get you because there's something really important we need to discuss.”

“Okay.” she replied hesitantly before following him to the deck.

Kimmy's POV

“Mommy, Daddy's in trouble. Why aren't we helping him?” she heard Kimar say as she stepped outside.

“Dad's in trouble?” she asked walking towards the table they were seated at.

“Kimmy!” Kimar shouted jumping off his mother's lap and into Kimmy's arms.

“Mom, is dad in trouble?”

“You should sit down Kimmy.” she said and she took a seat opposite Jace with Kimar on her lap, “Your father and Jace's dad are being held captive by Ishawn.” he said taking her phone out of her pocket and pulling up the video that was sent to her by an unknown number.

The video showed Richard and Omar strapped to metal chairs and Ishawn grinning at the camera.

“Say 'hi' to the camera boys.” a lady's voice said, but her face wasn't shown in the video.

“Daddy, when am I gonna get to have some fun?” a girls voice asked and she walked into view and stood next to Ishawn.

“All in good time Imany, all in good time.” Ishawn said before the video cut off.

“Fun? What? Why?” she asked sighing as a tear ran down her face.

“Mommy, we have to save daddy and uncle Richard.” Kimar protested and Katy sighed and took him in her arms and then walked inside.

“Kimmy, are you okay?” Jace asked.

“Yeah...” she replied sniffling, before Jace got up and started walking inside, “Where are you going?” she called out.

“To get our dad's along with V and my mom.” he replied turning back to face her.

“Alone?” she asked following him.

“No, with some friends and colleagues.”

“I'm coming.”

“No Kim. You're staying here. I'm putting the house on lock down as soon as Jace leaves so we'll be safe.” Katy said coming out of the kitchen.

“But mom-”

“No. Jace go, and be safe, please.” she said before Jace walked out of the front door.

“We can't just stay here while Jace risks his life to get Val, their mom and our dad's back! We need to help him.” she shouted pulling and banging on the front door to open but it wouldn't budge since Katy already enabled the lockdown system, and she soon sank to the floor crying her heart out.
