Third Person
"Tomorrow is the big day for our little Blue~!" Dream squealed over the phone all happy and cheerful. Ink giggled and listened closely to his voice. "So, uh, I was thinking that we make sure nothin's wrong with any AU's, and then you can come over," Dream's voice trailed off as Ink started thinking, losing focus and not paying attention to Dream any longer.
Since nobody besides him, ERROR, and his brother know about the crack on his skull, he'd have to hide it. He could probably just use some white glue, that'd probably work best. Even though it would hurt.. a lot... Then he could paint over it with white paint so nobody freaks out or notices the glue. Easier said than done.
"So? Whaddya' think?" Dream's voice chirped happily over the phone, a slight static dusting his voice.
"Yeah, it sounds nice," Ink waved dismissingly over the phone, squinting his eye sockets in slight confusion. "but, uuh.. hey, Dreamy?" Dream sighed - sighing was one of his best tools in English. You could call it a talent for him.
"Yus?" Did he just say Yus? Well, now we can confirm that Dream is still his normal, happy-go-lucky self. No doubt about that.
"Uhm.. Well, s-so, I kinda got into a little figh-" When Dream screamed through the phone Ink jumped, becoming shaky from surprise as his phone slipped from his hands. He barely managed to catch it without falling but he succeeded, and when he did he held the phone up so he could hear Dream.
"WHAT?!? ARE YOU OKAY? DO YOU NEED A DOCTOR?!?! WAAA-!!" A loud thud through made Ink glare in agitation and sigh, shaking his head. Then there was the sound of a door slamming shut and faint screaming. Ink frowned with a huff, but then he grinned. He hung up shortly after, feeling all warm inside. At least he knew Dream card that much about him to drop his phone that he was overly obsessed with.
That meant a lot to Ink. The front door swung open suddenly, revealing Dream literally flying into the room. When he flew in, Ink caught a glimpse of a rose falling from the doorway, turning into dust. It was dark blue. "How..?" Ink muttered to himself, examining the paranormal experience that happened right before him. And no, the paranormal thing was not of the flying skeleton.
"Inky! Your SKULL!!" Dream screeched in fear and concern. "Why didn't you tell me you had gotten hurt?!" Then, through the loud jumbled up speaking of Dream, Ink noticed that Dream had started to hyperventilate quite a bit.
Ink inwardly flinched, "Woah, calm down, Dreamy.." Then he tried to calm him, explaining what happened to him while enduring the interruptions that came from the worried mouth of his dearest friend. Dream looked really worried when Ink had mentioned his brother's name. He never brought up good memories, and it wasn't any better with the thought and knowing that he was involved with Ink's incident.

Today was the Day of Blueberry's party. Ink looked over and asked his bestie why they were in a different spot than he was originally informed with. Before, Dream had told him they were going to have this party in the void, but that's not where they are right now. "Well, hehe, we had a change of plans-""I see that," Ink giggled as Dream blushed and puffed out his 'cheeks', rolling the glowing shapes in his eye sockets.
"I told him we were gonna play hide and seek here. Also in the form of a sleepover," Dream smiled, sighing as he irritatedly fixed his cape that was stuck on his belt. At the moment they were in a giant building they had rented out, a really expensive one that Dream paid for. "I also had some random Alphys help me to make a teleportation device for those who can't teleport," he went on with some facts about it while Ink listened, half caring and zoning off.
The two heard a tear coming from the side of them, and Ink looked over, confirming who it was with a feeling of agony. "Eeey, Broskies!!" Fresh. Ugh, Ink doesn't even know what to think of this guy, besides the fact that he hates him. All that Ink knows about him is that he revolves around a 90's style. He doesn't fully even remember ever knowing he existed! Or that he ever even made him act how he does.
Dream smiled with a giggle; at least he liked Fresh, now Fresh wouldn't have a reason to bug Ink. Ink still felt like Fresh wasn't.. trustworthy. Why? Not even Ink knows the answer to that. "Hello~! Do you know if anyone else will be showing up soon?" Just then, hopefully by coincidence, a few others made their appearance to the party. They were mostly happy monsters(from AU's), to be honest. Sometimes at random moments Ink questioned if Error would become a man and make a show. Highly unlikely, since he's an asshole and evil, but you never know. He could change.
"I'm gonna go greet some of the others. Ink, could you go and get a refill on the drinks?" Just as Dream asked that he sprinted off with a see-you-later wave to go and greet OuterTale Sans and his brother. Nobody knows how or why Dream drank all the dream apple pop, that was for the guests! Give Ink extra unneeded work, how cruel.
Everyone was now hiding in the party room for Blueberry. Ink was on the left side of the door behind some balloons in a corner, Dream was waiting in front of the door to greet him and act casual, and the others were scattered around the room in hiding. Or, trying, at least. Dream soon got tired of waiting for Blueberry and tried to text him. He sighed and put his phone away, looking irritated. Blueberry wasn't the best with timing, literally everyone knows that. Ink glanced back to the annoyed Dream, stretching his back and nudging the balloons forward a little with a grunt of displeasure.
Ink then heard a little song start playing from Dreams phone and giggled. It was a weird song, to say the least. Dream panicked and answered the phone quickly in embarrassment, not wanting everyone else to hear the song. "H-Hello?" His face was becoming yellow with embarrassment, making a few monsters chuckle and laugh. Ink heard a loud muffled voice from the other end and Dream looked like he was about to faint.
The artistic skeleton looked down, getting ready to move the balloons when he saw a note tied to a rose laying at his feet. He was shocked seeing it; how had he not noticed this before? He got ready to pick it up when he heard Dream start talking. Ink moved away from the balloons and looked at Dream. He had hung up and was talking to someone, Button, probably. Ink looked back to grab the rose and note and kneeled down for it.
Once his non-existent eyes fully focused on what was there, he only saw dust. With a different note. A yellow sticky note. Ink watched as Dream sprinted out the door, looking worried as though someone had just died. He sighed and went back to what he was doing, about to read that note. Ink picked up the note and started to read it, trying to make the writing out.
Dear,
InkYou see how this rose became dust? I hope you did
Be prepred to see some moee of it
Make sure to see how many roses turn to dust
Count very carefully~ Look for more flowers alonng the
Way, doll~ like the next soon-to-be pile of dustThen the note ended. All Ink could think about were the spelling errors at the moment, but then he started to think seriously. Who wrote this note? Why did they? What did they mean by the whole 'look for more dust' thing, and stuff? Questions rang through Ink's head at the speed of light, making him squint his eye sockets at the note and read it one more time. Then another, and another, and another. Sighing, Ink put the note in his scarf near his neck. Then he walked over to Button, waving with a grin. Button smiled back, looking forward to show that he acknowledged me.
Ink stopped in front of him, losing his grin. "Hey, Button, where did Dreamy go?" Button then gained a straight face, then it became a confused one. Because, well, with one button eye it's kind of hard to tell.
"Uhm, I believe he went to go pick up Swap Sans because his teleporter wasn't working and set on fire.." He started to mumble at the end, eye sockets watering up. "I don't want my Berry getting hurt!" He yelled and started crying. Ink hugged Button, rubbing his back in a circular motion. He had become more sensitive and shy after his 'incident'. Button continued to sob into Ink' scarf, with Ink comfortably hugging him.
