School today wasn't pointless, just extremely boring.
I took 3 tests today, but I'm pretty sure I did well on all of them. Ayden chose not to study for our psychology test and was shocked when he found out our teacher made us spread out around the room to limit cheating. Needless to say, he probably didn't do too fancy on it.
"Hey, G," Ayden greeted me as he stood next to my locker with Colton and Emma next to him. I grabbed my calc book and then shut my locker. "Am I taking you home?"
I shrugged and nodded, "Yeah, please." Ayden took my book, despite my telling of him not to, and led the way to his car.
Colton and Emma park directly next to Ayden everyday, so they usually walk out with Ayden and I.
We said goodbye to Colton and Emma, then got in Ayden's car. The gas light lit up to inform Ayden he was low.
"Want to come with me to the gas station, or are you in a hurry to get home?"
"I'll come," I answered. "What're you doing today?"
"We have to do our seasonal cleaning today because my mom wants all of our stuff that we don't use to go to good will and then we have more room for whatever we get for Christmas."
"That makes sense." I nodded, recognizing his mom's thought process.
"What're you up to?"
I just shrugged, "Nothing in particular. Just hanging around the house with my brother, probably." I didn't have a problem with that though: he's one of my most favorite people to be around.
"That sounds nice."
"Is Eric a part of this seasonal cleaning?" I questioned, really wanting to know. I hope he isn't because I don't like the idea of him being anywhere near Ayden.
"Unfortunately, yeah, but he probably won't even talk to Audrey and I after what happened over the weekend." Ayden must've noticed my frown because he put my head on my thigh and squeezed it lightly. "I can fight my battles, I'm fine."
I took Ayden's credit card and went into the gas station to buy the gas for pump 2. I always go in to buy the gas for him: it's part of our routine when we get gas together.
"30 on pump 2 please." I asked then handed over Ayden's card. The guy did some typing on his computer then gave me back the card.
"You're all set. Have a good afternoon."
"Thanks, you too." I replied then went back outside. Normally I would sit inside Ayden's car and wait for him, but I decided to switch it up today and I stood with him as he pumped the gas.
"Did you ever find out why Bennet didn't come to school today?" I asked ayden as I balanced on the curb that was next to the pump.
"Not really, no; all he told me was he wasn't feeling school."
My eyebrows furrowed, worry overcoming me. "Aren't you worried about him?"
"Bennet has known how to handle himself since his dad disowned him when he was 13. I'm sure he's fine."
Over the course of the past month, I've come to realize that, even though these 4 guys are considered perfect in the public eye, they are all far from it. If you really knew them, you'd know they all have their fair share of problems.
Ayden took me home after that - the car ride remained silent, but a comfortable one. I felt like if one of us were to speak, we'd ruin the mood.
Dom was doing his homework from therapy that he got - it usually consists of him just logging his feelings everyday, but it's pretty time consuming. I knew he'd be working on that for a while, so I decided to shoot a text Dakota's way to see if he was up to anything extravagant this afternoon to keep me busy.
