The next day was Saturday so T'ming sat in her dorm just sitting and thinking. Deanna left to spend they day with Riker. T'ming was calculating the odds of whether or not S'lack would show up, they were moving in together on Wednesday. Suddenly a knock came at the door. T'ming not feeling like getting up said, "Come in." bracing herself to welcome S'lack. When the door opened a person stood before her whom she hadn't seen since she was 11, Dr. Leonard H. McCoy. She ran over to greet him, letting her Vulcan quarter go to hell while he was here.
"Hello T, couldn't even open the door for an old friend?"
T'ming chuckled, beaming she replied,"I thought you were S'lack. I'm so glad to see you I've been feeling pretty low recently."
"Well pretty miss tell me what's bothering you, and who's S'lack?"
"S'lack is my husband and...."
"Wait, husband? When did you get married to a logic lover? Your father will be hearing from me very soon that green blooded.."
"It was mother's idea too, but life really sucks right now. I'll explain, you might want to take a seat this'll take a while. About a moth ago I decided to leave the Science Academy, well there was the matter of long distance death via pon farr. So I was recently married and we both quit the Academy and moved here. Recently we had a fight about tradition. I won't be issued a Star Fleet Academy uniform, I have to keep wearing Vulcan civilian clothes until I graduate as a doctor, and I have to keep my hair up. Even though he himself said that I look better with my hair down." As she said this last part she began to let her hair down,"See?!"
McCoy walked over to T'ming and put his hand on her shoulder,"There there T things will get better."
"No they won't! I have to move in with him Wednesday!" T'ming began to cry (again, wow she's emotional for someone who lets their Vulcan quarter control them.)
McCoy felt helpless, being a doctor himself it was his JOB to help people and he hated not being able to help people. "T why don't we go get something to eat. I'll buy, O.K.?"
T'ming smiled,"O.K." She rose to get her shawl, retreieved it and took McCoy's arm which he offered her. The walked down the hall, and as they were walking they ran into (guess who) S'lack (never would have guessed in 1 million years)
"Hello T'ming I see you let your hair down even though I forbade it. And who is this gentleman that is escorting you elsewhere?"
"This is my fathers friend Dr. Leonard H. McCoy, and he is taking me out to eat."
"That much is obvious T'ming but I request that You put your hair back up before being seen in public."
"Sorry S'lack, you may report to my father my disobedience but since I'm leaving now I'm not going to bother. I shall see you on Wednesday and not a minuet sooner."
"Live long and prosper T'ming."
"Live long and prosper S'lack." and she and McCoy left with haste. While they were walking T'ming told McCoy everything that had happened.
"You have no Idea what it is like to have people stare at you because they don't understand what you are wearing and why. I mean S'lack gets a uniform but I don't WTF?!" McCoy actually enjoyed her company he was one of the few people who got to see her as a human who only looked Vulcan while most people get to see her a a logic worshiping Vulcan and will never get to see her human side (aka the side that loves eating cow, pig, chicken, fun, and dating, NOT marriage.)
"Well that's true I don't"
"It's nice to see you again, you don't go to Vulcan often."
"It's a harsh climate and just not a place I usually want to go."
