This entire chapter is what happened when S'lack got on the Romulan ship and the events that follow. Because I figured you wanted to know.
****************
S'lack was beamed aboard the Romulan ship. He was immediately hailed by the people in the transporter room of the Romulan ship. He realized that he didn't know how to salute back to them. He simply nodded his head in agreement. He was taken to meet the captain. He was suddenly aware of the fact that he was still in his academy uniform. They took S'lack to the captain's quarters. Once there all the Romulans who escorted him to the quarters left except one. They entered into the captain's quarters. The captain saluted S'lack. Making him feel vastly uncomfortable. He nodded his head, acknoledging the salute. He quickly realized that he was not ready to run an empire. The captain didn't have much to say at all except that they would head back to Romulus as soon as possible and he new he was raised Vulcan and finally that the Romulan that came in with S'lack was named Erket and he was to be his "teacher" versing him in laws, customs, history, and how to run the empire. He saluted again as S'lack left. Erket led him to his quarters. Once they entered Erket helped him change into a Romulan uniform. He gave S'lack a step by step showing him how he needed to look. He tried to take the academy uniform from S'lack but he insisted on keeping it. Erket obeyed but told S'lack never to waer it again.
He also told S'lack he needed to cut his hair. Which had gotten a bit longer since he left Vulcan. He pulled the knife off his belt and cut his hair with the sharp blade. Erket said that that would be all for the night and left, saluting S'lack before he left. S'lack looked at himself in the mirror. He didn't recognize himself. His hair was shorter and the uniform looked more like chain-mail than real clothes. He he was going into a new life. He sat down on the bed in this room. This was going to be a new world. His thought's drifted back to T'ming. That's the reason he wouldn't let them take the uniform. It was the uniform he wore that night she submitted to his touch. She meant the world to him. He looked at his ring finger. The blue glass ring he was wearing was exactly like hers.
He would always look at that ring and think of her. He knew he had promised her false hopes. That they would see each other again. He knew the probability of that was a trillion to one. He was told that they'd reach the neurtral zone in about one day. This was the risky bit. Getting through without being spotted. Same with how they got to the Federation ship. How they made it unseen only god knows. S'lack went to sleep.
The next day Erket came in to help him learn how to run this empire he was inheriting. S'lack only half listened. This was worse than learning how to be a Star Fleet science officer. Suddenly he felt a cold chill run down his spine. Almost as if someone had whispered softly to him.
Erket seemed to notice S'lack not listening, "Your highness? are you listening?"
S'lack was brought back to reality, "Yes, but tell me, isn't this more of a democracy?"
Erket nodded, "You would have a more official duty than run the country."
S'lack leaned back as he was versed in how to be Romulan, what being a Romulan means, and multiple other meaningless things. When all of the sudden their red alert went off. Erket went to his battle station. S'lack went to the bridge of the ship. They were in the neutral zone so close to the Romulan side. To his new fate. Unfortunately a Federation ship saw them and they were under attack.
The Federation ship had fired photon torpedoes at them before they had their shields up.
"Captain, hull damaged beyond repair."
"Fire phasers!"
They began their battle maneuvers.
The Federation hit them with their phasers, "Captain shield damaged. Condition, unrepairable."
