About it:
We all know that there are seven continents on Earth. We know that the seven continents are: North America, South America, Europe, Australia, Asia, Antarctica and Africa. North America is located above South America. Yet, North America, there is a place called the United States or America.
Have you ever went into deep train of thoughts about America? Like, what it means to you and what it means to others? I wrote this poem to tell others about my homeland. Or in other words, America.

What is America?
America is something much greater than just being the United States,
America is the home of freedom, liberty, independence, and power,
America is the tears and blood shed from our soldiers who have fought to protect this country,
America is the fifty states from the Atlantic coast to the Pacific coast and beyond,
America is the nation that has stripes and fifty stars on its flag,
America is the country where all men are created equal,
America is home to our history’s greatest leaders,
America is the land of opportunities,
America is the people of many nationalities that have settled here,
America is reminding us of the day we gained our independence from Great Britain,
America is the country that plays The Star Spangled Banner as our national anthem,
America is the name given to us by Amerigo Vespucci,
America is a utopian society where all dreams can come true,
America is something that we can all appreciate,
America is my homeland.
