About it:

Have you ever seen that movie, Sleeping Beauty? What about the song from it, also named Sleeping Beauty? Did you always assume that that song was written by Disney? You are wrong. It was written by Ilyich Piotr Tchaikovsky. He was a composer during the Romanticism time period. Sleeping Beauty is considered as a ballet. Except, Disney took his idea (legally, of course) and made it into a movie. He was also well known for other two ballets: The Nutcracker and Swan Lake.

He influenced other composers, such as: Igor Stravinsky, Rachmaninoff, Sergei Prokofiev, Richard Strauss, Elgar Holst, and Gershwin. He worked at Bolshoy Theatre, performing on the piano.
