Divergent: After It All

Chapter 6

*5 months later*

Tris's POV

"Tobias?" I moan. It is 1:27 in the morning. I am 9 months pregnant. And I want to see our children.

"Yeah?" He replies sluggishly.

"I'm having really bad contractions. I think I might be going into labor." I say frantically.

"Well let's slip some shoes on and we can run up to the hospital, okay?" Tobias replies soothingly. He grabs my black sweatshirt and I slip it over my head. I've been having to stretch it out to fit over my big belly. My feet have gotten one size bigger, so I have to wear a pair of Tobias's old flip flops.

"Ready babe?"

"Yep. Let's hurry. I think I feel another contraction coming on." I say. Tobias then sweeps me of my feet, grabs his keys, and plops me in the passenger seat of his truck. The grey leather is torn up, and the dashboard is dust covered.

"Ooh. Ow. Contraction!" I screech.

"Shh. It's okay. Just breathe. Were almost there. It's going to be alright. Just take my hand and breathe." He coos. I take his hand and take deep, long breaths. The pain passes quickly, and after a few more minutes we arrive at the hospital.

Tobias and I shuffle inside and get a room. I sit in my wheelchair and Tobias pushes me through the door to where I will give birth to our two lovely children. As soon as I get in bed and hooked up to all my wires, I pull out my phone. Then first person I text about going into labor is Christina, and then I text Will, Uriah, Marlene, Lynn, Zeke, and Shauna.

I hear my phone ring, and I answer to a squealing Christina.

"Oh my god! I can't believe your gonna be a mom! I'm coming over right now. Do you want me to grab you a coffee?"

"Uh, sure. My room number is 582, second floor." I say.

"Okay. See you soon!" I say. Then the door soon opens and I see Christina.

Ten minutes later or so, Will, Uriah, Zeke, Shauna, and Marlene arrive.

"Oh this is so cool! I never though you would be this first of us to have kids, Tobias." Uriah says in a somewhat smartassish tone.

"Well I found someone who loved me a whole lot. And I loved her back even more." Tobias replies as he kisses me.

"I love you." I say.

"I love you, too." He says back. He then climbs into my hospital bed, and lays next to me. I squeeze up against the plastic so he can find a room to fit. He leans forward to give me a kiss, then I hear a beeb, then I pass out.
