Chapter 4

Tobias's POV

I get out of bed, and Tris frowns.

"Baby, we have to work today." I say dragging her off the bed. "Do you wanna shower first?"

"No, I wanna sleep." She replies. I really want to sleep too.

"Well maybe we can call off sick today." I say with a grin.

"That sounds perfect. But first, let me run up to the drug store." She says slyly.

"Okay. Grab me a Coke, will you?" I groan.

"Affirmative, Four." She replies with a chuckle. Then, she walks out the door.

I decide to get some clothes on, so I slip on some basket ball shorts and a hoodie with a dauntless symbol. Fire. Tris, she starts a fire in my heart. God, that sounds so cheesy. But it's true.

I glance at the engagement ring I have been hiding from Tris. I have to find the perfect time to give it too her. Should I do it after she tells me she's pregnant? That's obviously what she went to the drug store for. Pregnancy tests.

That's it. I'll do it when she tells me the results.

Tris's POV

I walk into the drug store. Let's see, toothpaste, hair dye, tampons -- aha. Pregnancy tests. I grab the most expensive kind, because the better it is, the more money it costs, right? Whatever. I slide the box into the shopping basket and go grab a Coke for Tobias.

I go to the check out, luckily it was a girl at the register. As soon as I walk out, I practically run home. Oh, I hope I'm pregnant. It would make me so happy. And Tobias too, I bet.

I walk past the chasm and then walk to Tobias's apartment.

"Hey, here's your Coke. Lemme run to the bathroom real quick." I say to Tobias, taking the bag with the pregnancy test with me.

Tobias's POV:

"H...hey babe?" Tris calls from the bathroom. I slip the engagement ring in my pocket and walk in.

"Were gonna be parents!!!" Tris squeals with excitement. I wrap my arms around her and give her a big kiss.

"Aww, Tris. I love you." I say softly.

"I love you too." She replies.

"Uh, Tris?" I say, my voice shaky.

"Yeah Tobias?"

I bend down on one knee and pull the ring out of my pocket. "Will you marry me?" I say as I open the box.

"Yes, Tobias. Oh yes!" She says, tears of joy in her eyes. "I love you so much, Tobias. Never forget that, okay?" She says.

"Okay." I say. We then go lie in bed until we both fall asleep.
