Divergent: After It All

Chapter 2

AHH IM SO SORRY I WAS READING THE FIRST CHAPTER AND I REALIZED MY GRAMMAR SUCKED BC MY JACKED UP LAPTOP DOESN'T HAVE AUTO CORRECT OR ANYTHING. I'LL FIX IT ASDGKSJD. THIS WILL BE BETTER OMFG I'M SO SO SORRY.

Tris POV:

"Is everybody ready? I say loudly so all the Dauntless in the cafeteria can hear me.

"YEAH! WOOHOO!" Is the reply with lots of clapping and foot stomping. I call Tobias and tell him to come to the cafeteria. He asks why, but I reply with a mom like "Because I said so!" But in a sarcastic tone. He giggles, and says he'll be here in five to ten minutes or so.

"OKAY." I yell, almost hurting my voice. "FOUR WILL BE HERE IN 5 MINUTES MINIMUM. PLACES EVERYONE!" Everybody hides behind stools, in the cooking area, behind poles, and some in corners. Uriah and Marlene, Will and a sick Christina, and Zeke all sit at the table with the cake. I turn of the lights, and stand ten feet away from the door.

When Tobias arrives, I run toward him and plant a soft kiss on his lips. "Happy Birthday, Tobias!" Then, I turn on the lights and everybody jumps out and screams "HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOUR!!!"

I drag him over to where Uriah, Will, Christina, Marlene, and Zeke sit.

"Happy 21st, Four! God, I remember initiation when you were 18. Haven't changed much." Christina says with a grin.

"Look at your cake, Four. Cool, huh?" Uriah shouts.

"Wow! Thank You all so much! The cake looks amazing. It even has four layers. Like my name. My god, you guys went all out!" Tobias says, a huge smile on his face.

"Present time!" I say, handing him the bag with his mothers ring along with the card. I give him a firm kiss on the cheek as I hand it too him.

As Tobias opens the velvet box, he gasps. His eyes begin to water, and he's trying to hold the tears back as much as possible. He gently slips on the ring to his right ring finger. He holds his hand up to the light and watches the light glisten off of the ring's surface. "Thank you so much." He says as he walks over to kiss me. His warm lips touch mine, and I kiss him back. He pulls away and whispers "Thank you, Tris. I love you."

"I love you too, Tobias." I reply softly.

"Alright, alright, you lovebirds. Enough! Now let's cut the cake!" Uriah says. He grabs a knife and cuts the cake. Everybody takes a slice, and then everybody hangs out and talks. When it begins to get late, people start off to their rooms to sleep.

"Hey, babe?" I say.

"Yeah Tris?" Tobias replies.

"Let's go to your room. I'm getting tired." I say as I yawn.

"Okay. Let's go." Tobias says sweeping me up into his arms. His plants a sweet kiss on my lips and then we run of to his room.
