Chapter 5

*4 months later*

Tris's POV

"Tobias! Get up! We have to go the the doctor to get an ultrasound!" I scream, shaking him awake. It doesn't take but a few tries, because Tobias is a pretty light sleeper.

"What?" he groans. "Oh right. The ultrasound. Lemme go throw some

clothes on."

"Okay. Hurry! We have to be there in 10 minutes!"

"Have a seat over here, ma'am." The nurse says flatly. "Dr. Johnson will be here in a moment."

Oh I can't wait. Will it be a boy or a girl? What if it's twins? What if it's triplets? What does Tobias want? A boy probably. It'd be nice if we have twins and it was a boy and a girl. So I'd have a little baby girl, and he'd have a boy to teach how to do "man stuff." Soon our little baby, or babies, will be jumping off trains before we know it.

"Tris Prior?" Dr. Johnson says from the hallway. Tobias and I stand up and walk in her direction. "Are you ready for the ultrasound?"

"Yes. I'm so excited!" I shriek of enjoyment. The room goes quiet, and my cheeks are flushed.

"Walk right this way." Dr. Johnson says, breaking the awkward silence. We walk down dozens of twisted hallways until we reach the ultrasound room. "Take a seat."

I sit down on what looks and feels like a chair at the dentist, and then Dr. Johnson pulls up my shirt. She puts a cold jelly on my stomach, then takes a tool that looks like a somewhat rounded off rectangle and rubs it on my stomach where she applied the jelly.

"Now, if you'd take a look up on the screen, you can see your child. Wait-- you can see your children! Ms. Tris, you look like you're going to have twins! Would you like to know the gender of each of them?" Dr. Johnson says.

"Oh yes!" I squeal. How exciting. "Do you want to know Tobias?"

"Uh...sure. Why not?" He replies.

"Well, you all are going to be having a little boy and a little girl!" Dr. Johnson says.

"Oh wow, Tobias! A boy and a girl! We're going to be parents!"

"And were gonna be the best parents ever." Tobias says as he plants and kiss on my lips.

Sorry for the short chapter! Were about to leave to drive to Florida and that was all I could update. I'm not gonna be able to update for a week max. So just stay with me.
