Sometimes, I feel like I screw everything up. For one, I probably angered (Y/N) back at the house by trying to make her discuss something she didn't want to mention.

Sometimes, I feel like I'm in a rock and a hard place.

And sometimes, I think that I'm ruining my chances to be with (Y/N). I always try to hide the fact that I liked (Y/N), but I can't help myself, and everything ends out being awkward.

I was lost in thought as I squeezed (Y/N)'s hand while we walked together to the Surface. I was blushing a tinted blue, but I don't think (Y/N) noticed. I was glad, because that probably would've ended up being embarrassing.

I wonder if (Y/N) doesn't just like me as a friend. I wonder if she...loves me like I do.

I must've slowed my pace down, as (Y/N) asked, "Sans? Why are you slowing down?" I jumped and replied, "Just...thinking." I returned to our rhythm of pace as I began having a...flash back.

I was dozing off in my station as Frisk shook me, my bones rattling. "Kid.. Can't a guy get his rest..?" I asked annoyed. Frisk huffed and shoved me into the ground.

I was taken aback by the impact, and I stood up. "What was THAT for, bud-" "Sans, it's (Y/N) and Papyrus! She's going to... Papyrus will..." Frisk panted as one of my eyes flared blue. From the sound of it, it seemed like (Y/N) was going to murder Papyrus.

But why? (Y/N) wouldn't act like that. I had observed the two of them, and they clearly showed mercy to each monster that came across their path. Unless..

(Y/N) was just acting. Unless (Y/N) was just trying to gain my trust, just so I could be back stabbed.

I couldn't bear to believe that thought, but it seemed like it.

"Frisk.." I say, my blue eye burning.

"(Y/N) is going to have a bad time."

I eyed (Y/N) warily. All of my affection for her just randomly disappeared after that. Maybe she was still trying to gain my trust after that. Maybe she was still after my baby brother.

I shook my head. I had to keep reminding myself that it was all of Chara's doing, not (Y/N)'s. But, it felt so unbelievable, that I couldn't lower my guard at all.

But I know everything might be reset soon.

I just know it.

I have to stop caring.

(Y/N) won't come back if Frisk suddenly resets.

This is only a once in a lifetime opportunity.

It's just...too much for me now. I felt myself panicking and some child's cruel laugh randomly ringed in my ears.

I let go of (Y/N)'s hand and leaned against the nearest tree while stumbling like I was drunk. I sat on the dirt, moaning. It felt like if I tried to deny, I'd be hurt more. My breath felt like it was ragged, and my body felt like it was asleep. The laugh still ringed in my ears as a sharp pain randomly flowed within my bones.

I yelped, confused on what was happening. This usually doesn't happen to me. Maybe because of the slight difference. Or maybe...

Because of Chara.

"Oh my god, Sans!" (Y/N) screamed, rushing toward me. She kneeled next to me, a concerned look crossing her face. "Sans! Are...you okay? Please, speak!"

I tried saying something, but only a groan escaped my mouth. (Y/N) panicked and squeezed my bony hand.

"Sans...I promise that you'll be alright. Just hang in there."

Those were the last words I heard as I was engulfed into darkness, where a child with a green and yellow sweater, with a knife stood there, smiling at me darkly.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk," said the child. "The poor, little skeleton has fallen asleep, huh? Don't worry, this will only hurt a lot more..."

What..? Where was I..?

And...

Who in the world was that child..?

"Earth to Sans?" asked the child sarcastically. "You really just space off," the child noted, gripping the knife tightly. A twisted expression was on their face.

What is happening...?

And..why can I not feel anything..?

Is this supposed to be some torture..?

And... More importantly... Where is everyone?
