Chapter Twelve - The Different Choice

Chara

I was finally back.

I was satisfied with this gain. I had returned to my body. Living feels so good now.

Gripping the knife that had appeared beside me, I turned to (Y/N), who was backed up against the wall. I smiled darkly. "Look at you, partner. So... Terrified!" I laughed. "I like it."

I could feel someone watching, and I smirked as I remembered who it was. "It seems like this will be great to watch," I said, my eyes secretly darting to the monster watching. I approached (Y/N), and she went into some type of defensive stance. I snickered. "Don't you dare take a step closer," (Y/N) muttered. "Or what? You gonna try and stop me?" I questioned.

I stepped closer and (Y/N) kept that stance. "I'm going to enjoy murdering you again," I say, taking a step closer. (Y/N) tilted her head, confused. "Again?" she asked. I chortled. "You must be one big idiot for not remembering this still," I say. Before I knew it, I felt a kick to my stomach, and I fell on my back. I looked up to see (Y/N) standing in front of me.

I got up, grabbing my knife. I lunged at her but crashed into the wall instead. I lost grip of my knife, and before I could try to find it, I looked to see (Y/N) holding it.

She pointed it at me. "Stay back, Chara," she warned. I snickered. "Or what? It's not like this is going to end differently," I say casually.

(Y/N) swung the knife, and I barely dodged it. Tiny clumps of my hair fell on the ground. I growled and launched myself into her, both of our bodies colliding into a nearby coffin.

I heard the knife slide away, and I jumped to it, as a pair of hands grabbed my legs. I landed with a thud and I looked back to see (Y/N) gripping my legs. I kicked, possibly hitting her cheeks. I felt her hands slip from my grip, and I crawled over to the knife.

Then, I felt a body slam right on top of me.

I scrambled to free myself, (Y/N) trying to pin me down. I kept scrambling until I somehow managed to fling (Y/N) across the other side of the room. Talk about strength...

I stood up and sprinted toward the knife. Grabbing it, I glanced around to see (Y/N) sprawled on the ground. I smirked as I walked up to her. (Y/N) slowly got up, lifting her fists.

I swiped my knife to her face as I heard it clink into the wall. I felt a punch land onto my jaw and I staggered back, nearly dropping the knife.

I rubbed my jaw as a swift kick knocked me into the ground. I dropped my knife, and I watched as it skidded toward (Y/N)'s feet. I watched in amusement as (Y/N) took the knife and placed a foot on me.

(Y/N) grabbed me by the collar of my sweater before I was slammed on top of my coffin. The knife in one hand and another hand pinning me, (Y/N) raised the knife. I smiled. "Go ahead," I drawled. "Do it. You don't have the guts."

The knife quickly lowered, only for it to stop just mere inches above my head.

"I knew it. Again," I said, smiling. I quickly yanked the knife out of (Y/N)'s hand. I grabbed her by her hair as I yanked her towards me. (Y/N) shoved herself away, myself accidentally letting go of her hair.

I got up and lunged as I toppled into (Y/N). I kept swinging my knife, hoping to hit her. Little flecks of blood got on the knife from a few cuts I managed to get on her.

(Y/N) elbowed me in my stomach and I dropped onto the ground, knife in hand. I stared at her, gripping the knife tightly. As I reached out to stab her chest, I felt the knife fly out of my hand.
