Chapter 8

Lauren's P.O.V

I got out of the shower and headed to my dresser. I picked out a pair of underwear and a bra and put them on. I walked to my closet to pick out something to wear. I finally decide on a white casual dress. It is strapless and has a now on the back they is a light pink color. I curl my hair and put it in a messy ponytail. I left my bangs and curled them too. I put on gold accessories and applied little makeup. Foundation, mascara, little bit of eye liner and lip gloss. Approving my look, I looked at the clock and it was 5:15 already. I put on some light pink high heals and went down stairs.

" Hi." My mom turned around at the sound of my voice.

" Oh hunny you look great! The food is almost ready. I hope Niall likes spaghetti." She says with a cheerful smile.

" Yeah he LOVES spaghetti! Good thinking mom! I can't wait for you to meet him." I tell her. I really have always wanted to bring a boy home and meet my parents. I didn't know it would be this nerve racking though.

" I can't either! I think he sounds like a very nice boy. Yay! I'm so excide-" Mom got cut off by the doorbell ringing.

" Ok act cool mom." I giggled while walking to the door. I open to door to see a very well dressed Niall standing there.

" Hi." He says.

" Hey." I give him a hug then have him come in.

" You have a really nice house."

"Thanks. Dinner is almost ready. I hope you like spaghetti." I tell him closing the door.

" Yes! I love it!" I laughed at his weirdness.

" Ok now my dads not here tonight so you get to meet my mom." I say.

"Ok." We walk into the kitchen and I see my mom facing the other way mixing the sauce.

I cleared my throat and my mom turned around. She eyed Niall and then smiled. Niall stuck out his hand but mom had other ideas. She pulled Niall into the biggest/ most awkward hug I've ever seen her give. Niall took a second to react the hugged her back. He turned his head just a little to see me cracking up silently at his weirded out face.

" Nice to finally meet you Niall! I'm Beth! I've heard so much about you!" My mom said almost to overly excited.

Niall's P.O.V

" Hello. Great to meet you too! I hope you have heard all good things." I look to my side at Lauren and nudge her a little.

" For the most part." Lauren says.

" Okay so dinners ready. You kids go sit down and I will serve up the food and get you guys some soda." Her mom said turning around and walking to the kitchen.

" I like your mom." I state.

" Thanks?" She says more like a question.

" You know, you look very pretty tonight. No, this look is beyond pretty. It's hot." I say says eying her.

" Shudup.." She said lightly punching my arm. I just chuckled.

" Just stating the truth." And with that I gave her a small smack on the bum.

"Niall!" She said almost seriously and trying not to laugh.

" Sorry, couldn't resist." I winked at her while saying that. She huffed and rolled her eyes and sat down.

Lauren's P.O.V

" Ok here's yours...and yours and then we can start eating!" My mom says handing us out dinner and a piece of bread and our sodas.

We started eating. Then the questions started..

" So Niall, what are your intentions with my sister?" My brother asks.

" Uhh.. I plan to make her happy and erm have a great long term relationship. Hopefully." Niall speaks, not to confidently.

" No funny business right?" I dropped my fork when he said that. Niall laughed at my reaction.

" No. No funny buisness." I hear Niall mumble, only loud enough so I can hear, ' yet'. I elbowed him under the table.

" I'm a guy to and I know what is running through your mind. I don't want my sister to.. Be used in anyway."

" She won't. Not while I'm around." Woah. That sounded very protective.

" Are you gonna keep her out of harms way?" Since when is Jake my dad?

" Of course." Niall answerd.

" Ok. I like you. You better not make me change that decision."

And he got up from the table to do his dishes.

" Okay.... You heard what he said Niall. No funny buisness." My mom finally says.

My cheeks turn pink just from that. This is really embarresing.

" Wait, why are you blushing from that? Did you already-" My mom was going way to far with my blushing, so I cut her off before she could say it.

" No!! Gosh no! Why now? I'm too young!"

My mom and Niall were both laughing so hard at my response. I got up and grabbed Niall and I's dishes. I heard Niall's footsteps follow me to the kitchen.

" Why did you say yet?" I ask him turning around.

" I don't know.. Cause I really wanna but I don't get to choose when. You do. So I said yet." I giggled as he said that. I love how he said I get to choose. Most guys won't do that. Wait.. did I just say love? Do I love Niall?
