Walk Me Home
Blah. Blah. Blah.
Sir. Vincent has been saying a lot of shit for an hour already. I kept sneaking a peak at my phone every ten minutes. You can't blame me I hate Chemistry. I just suck at chemical names and stuff. Keeping a straight straight face, locking my eyes on the board. is better than dozing off to dreamland at this hour.
"Class, never forget to bring your lab aprons tomorrow! No aprons, No activity and no activity means- NO GRADE. Now, Goodbye Class!"
He said while erasing the stupid writings on the board.
Students bid their goodbyes and rushed towards the door. Laura is currently chatting with her group named 'dee girls' about an awesome movie she saw last night. All of them are pretty in their own ways. Laura the queen bee. Sam the simple beauty. Vanessa, Captain of the Volleyball Varsity team and Drew the girl genius. Perfect Combination!
Laura saw me catching a glimpse at them and waved her hand at me. I smiled a her in response and grabbed my things. I was hurrying to the locker, well probably running. I clutched a pile of books to my chest and held my bag at the side. I even carried along a paperbag containing Andrea's heels which I borrowed from her a week ago. Speaking of Andrea, she can't drive me home due to some reasons. 512 I smiled excitedly as I was nearing my locker.
I reached out for the lock with my right hand and tried to balance the books on my left leg. I twisted the lock and clicked the password. crr..aa..cc..kk. ha! It opened! I let out a long sigh. I involuntarily placed my left leg down and bang! My books fell all over the floor. Great! Now what? Congratulations clumsy ME! I bent down to pick two of my books when I saw someone helping out and taking the books that were far from my reach. He offered his hand to help me up. I knew it was a 'he' since his hands resembled that of a guys' . I reached out and accepted his help. Great. I was kneeling awhile ago while picking some of my things up. So, my white colored jeans was stained with a bit of dirt. I brushed them off, I got so busy that I forgot the guy standing in front of me.
He cleared his throat and I looked up "Thank you.."
I gasped. Is this real? I blinked. Twice.
".. Matt?" He smiled as he placed my books inside my locker. Gentleman isn't he? Did I tell you he looks absolutely breath-taking today? Oh he does! Black tees with a red print which reads 'obey' paired off with denim jeans and cool converse.
"So.. Long time no see.." He smiled. Breathtaking.
"Oh, it's just been a couple of days? Four, to be exact." I replied casually.
"Why, What happened? Where were you these past few days?" I asked him as I clicked the lock close.
"I had to watch over my mother. She got sick and my father is out of town." he leans casually
"Oh. Sorry to hear that.. Do you.. want ... to.. um.. walk down the halls?" I managed to speak it out. Horay for me!
"Sure!" He tugged my arm.
Laughing, we excited the lockers. Much to my dismay, his phone beeped indicating a call.
"Hello? Oh. yes, it's fine man. I'll just go ahead." He spoke through the phone. I tell you, this guy has dropdead gorgeous voice.
"Who was that?" I asked him smiling like a freak.
"Oh. Jordan," He shrugged tucking his backberry in his pocket.
"Jordan Cruse? The tall, perfectly brown eyed guy who also has a cool sense of fashion?"
He laughed for a quite a good moment. I raised my brow at him; confused. I didn't tell him a joke, did I?
"I'm sorry.. Yes he is." He said in between breaths.
"What's so funny?" I sneered.
"Nothing. It seems that the way you describe him.. I don't know.. Do you like him?" He smirked.
"God Matt! No! I just love his eyes."
"okay!" He chuckles.
"You're unbelievable. Since when did you two became friends?" I teased
"Since forever. Our parents are close that's why. He's more like a bro now."
"He doesn't have a girlfriend you know." Matt winked.
"I didn't ask." I rolled my eyes playfully.
"Just in case if you want to hit on-"
"MATT! I don't like him okay?!"
"Good." He patted my head.
Good what?
***
"Bye Matt. Thanks for the company." Smiling, I turned my back.
"Amy!" He called. I turned around to hear what he is going to say
"Can I drive you home? It's getting late." He smiled as he tossed his car keys. I checked my phone 6:05 pm It is getting late.
"It's fine Matt. My house is just a few blocks away.. and.. I.. I... like to walk my way home" lie.
Hearing footsteps following my tracks, I looked back and caught a glimpse of Matt. What is he doing?
"What now Matt?"
"You don't want to ride? So I'll walk you home. I won't let a girl like you walk alone, it's getting dark and maybe some jerk would mess up along the way."
How considerate of you Matt. Big turn-on to guys like this!
"Matt." I argued.
"Amy.." He insisted.
"I'll go for the ride Matt. If you really insist, I won't let you go back to school alone either." I casually replied.
He grinned at me and grabbed my arm "Let's go then! You don't wanna skip dinner."
I arrived at our doorstep fifteen minutes after six. Not bad though.
"Thanks Matt.."
"No Amy, thank you.." He gave me a closed mouth smile and drove his way.
wow. Did Matt really freakin' drive me home? I rubbed my eyes and pinched myself to see if I am dreaming.
I turned to our front door smiling. Oh my! I gasped. I saw my sister leaning on our door frame in her red pajamas, her hair hung loose and she was smirking. This doesn't look good.
"Explain." She eyed me.. amused.
