I haven't seen Luca all day, perhaps the first time I've actually felt lonely in this echoing household.
I enjoyed lunch (by myself), which was a french onion soup with garlic bread on the side, which was one of my favourites back home. Home. That word seems like a joke now. I could laugh about it. 'Home' was nowhere now. My previous household our family had is probably covered in dust, hopefully Humphrey hasn't suffocated on it yet (because I am very aware of his dust allergy).Strolling through the halls of my comfortable prison, the stark white walls seemed more cream-like today. Maybe today I wouldn't hassle. Maybe I'd just have a calm day.
I entered a new room, the drawing room. It wasn't actually for drawing, but seemed nice enough to sit in. Dust poured through the beams of light that hit the bookshelves. Viewing the wide variety of history I could read about, I decided to go for a good old soppy love story. I've always liked those types, yet never expected it to happen.
I began to read.
Robert ran through the empty street, streetlights shone like a spotlight onto Adeline.
Her warm rosy cheeks and her desperate yet beautiful complexion was fascinating.
In the dank drizzle of the dawn, they had finally met. Her eyes sneakily found their way onto Robert but the distance between them was unnecessary.
Adeline practically flew into Roberts arms, like a blue bird on a summer day, chirping away with joy. Robert-"Luca's father loved those."
Dmitri approached me.
"He was a passionate lover. But he was also a good liar."
I chuckled.
"Why do you never refer to him as your dad?"
His bright complexion faded.
"He was never a father to me."He approached me, placing himself on the other end of the couch.
" I apologise for being so... well."
His desperate glance made me finish his sentence.
"Distant?"
"Yes."After a period of silence, we parted, me walking to my room, him disappearing.
Remembering, I had to look for my diary. I began to look through all my belongings. Then I searched the room.
Peering under the bed, I pulled out an old newspaper article.
