Off guard

I woke up early to try to find Dmitri in his room. He was staying in the spare room on the ground floor. I quickly ran down the marble staircase and couple of halls down, opening every door in my way until I found him, sleeping peacefully.
He wasn't naked, thank god, just in a black shirt and pair of shorts.

I just wanted to ask him about the photo... again. But I knew he'd leave as soon as the sun rises. He always goes somewhere. I'd pay anything to get away from that bastard Luca. How can someone be such a prick?

I slowly tip-toed into the centre of his room. I noticed the 4 beer cans, 2 Jack Daniels and 1 vodka bottle. I definitely won't wake him with my walking, he looks like a sleeping baby.

I got close to him and began tapping him on his shoulder.

"Dmitri..."
I whispered.
I repeated his name, repeating it louder each time.

He suddenly jolted, his wide eyes looking at me.
"Alex, Lexi, I'm sorry!"
He shouted.
His heavy arms practically threw me onto his bed, next to him. He began to stoke my face, as confused and shocked as I was, I just thought it was the alcohol.
"Where did you go?"
He whispered.
"Dmitri, it's Josephine."
He chuckled. The wrinkles around his mouth were small, as if they barely ever stretched. As if he barely ever smiled.
They slowly faded, yet his hand continued to explore ever aspect of my cheek. Then my ears. Then the baby hairs on my forehead. Then my eyes. Then my nose. Then my mouth.
His finger slipped right down the middle of my lips. His eyes calmly looked into mine. I had never seen him so vulnerable.

He kissed me. His lips were smooth and his kisses were slow. He was taking his time. He's obviously done it a lot. It was passionate, yet it was gentle.

He thought I was someone else.
I fell asleep after that.
