CHAPTER 0 : Pit-A-Pat

It's the year 2026.

A 33 year-old Kang Seulgi sits inside a cosy cafe, Rosey Scent, at the heart of Apgujeong in Seoul City, South Korea. True to it's name the cafe is filled with rosey things from its decoration to its smell. Even the sofas are in reddish or pinkish shades.

She flips through the fashion magazine she is currently reading watching as more people enter the cafe. Some of them bringing flower bouquets while some bringing parcels all of which are given to the owner of the cafe, Rosè or Rosèanne Park.

That's right. It's the opening day of one of her close friends' cafe. Seulgi comes a bit early as she just finished her work nearby so she got one of the best spot viewing the entire cafe. From her seat, she can see people coming in to and going out of the cafe as well as the scenery outside on the street of Apgujeong.

Then as time goes by, one by one people she knows arrived. She smiles as she sees a beatiful lady approaching her and sitting on the vacant seat next to her.

"Ah.. I'm starving, unnie." She says as she picks up the spoon and scoops the Red Velvet cake on the table. "Haven't eaten since this morning. Ughh work." She complains.

"You, my Joy, always forget everything once you work. Do you want me to stay with you and monitor you?" One cheerful voice reaches them. Both Seulgi and her friend look at the owner of the voice. "I miss you two!" The voice's owner hugs them.

"Yah! Not..to..tight. I'm still eating, Uh..unnie!" Joy says while coughing at the same time. "And don't hug Seulgi unnie carelessly."

Seulgi laughs at the two. "Joy, finish your food first, please." She instructs her younger friend. "And I miss you too, Wan, my soulmate."

"So where are the others? You are here alone, Seul?" Wendy asks as she finally sit at the couch opposite of Seulgi and Joy.

Seulgi nods. "I came a bit early after my recording nearby so I just walked here."

"You did?" Joy asks in a surprised tone. "That's not safe, Unnie. You shouldn't do that next time. Not good for-"

"Do what?" All the three of them turn to the person asking. A fair brunette lady stands by their table.

"Unnie!" They all yell excitedly to the newcomer as if it's someone they have not met for a long time. "You are back?" Wendy questions her.

"How's holiday?" Now it's Joy's turn. "Did you buy me something?"

"You two.. Let unnie sit first." Seulgi offers the seat on her other side. "Have some cake, Unnie."

"Oh- Thanks." Their unnie glances at the refreshment on the table and chuckles. "Red Velvet, huh? This must be Seulgi's doing. Being sentimental"

All of a sudden laughter erupts from their table after hearing the statement.

"Baechu Unnie knows us too well."

Seulgi feels happy being with them, the people she really love. Bae Joohyun or Baechu unnie or Irene the eldest who is like a mom to them, Wan or Wendy or Son Seungwan her soulmate and Joy or Park Sooyoung her caring younger sister. They have known each other for more than 10 years now so Seulgi is glad that they manage to keep their close and tight relationship.

"What is this reunion without me? I am sad if it's like this.." Then a voice pretending to be upset interrupted their moment. They all take a look at the person.

A pretty lady with shoulder length straight hair in a white sleeveless one-piece. She looks younger than her age with her baby face. At first she was frowning but that turns into a huge happy smile a second later.
