CHAPTER 4 : Date

Rosey Scent Cafe, Seoul

September 2026

Seulgi approaches a group of girls chatting happily. As she joins them, Lisa, Rose, Mijoo and YooA welcome her enthusiastically.

"Unnie!"

"Seulgi-ya!"

"Have a seat, unnie." Rose offers her to sit on the free space on her left. "Really really thank you for coming today, unnie. Say thanks to oppa as well." Says Rose expressing her gratitude her sincerely.

Seulgi shakes her head and replies, "Please don't.. In fact thank you for inviting us! I'm glad we can make it. You know how busy he is with his group and his own individual activities."

"That's right.. His group is having their anniversary comeback and concert. Isn't it?" Mijoo announces. "Is 13th or 14th year?"

Seulgi shrugs. "As expected Lee Mijoo. You know a lot. Anyway I'm sure it's one of those. He did mention to me a lot." Seulgi laughs. "But you know me. I get confuse about a lot of things."

"So are you gonna attend the concert, unnie?" Asks Lisa as she continues, "We are also invited but we still need to check our own schedule." She informs them.

"Well, I guess I have to, don't I?" Seulgi chuckles. "Wife's duty, girls." They laugh at her statement. "So girls, please do come and accompany me."

"Speaking of wife..Look at this, Seulgi-ah." Mijoo shows Seulgi something from her phone. "I took it during your wedding. Is he wearing insoles? Why is he so much taller?" The other girls also take turns to have a look and agree with what Mijoo has said.

"Eh- I don't think he is that much taller though.. You know his height is perfect for me." 😍

After saying that, the girls immediately tease her. "Oooooooo, perfect." "So cheesy, unnie!" "So in love, my friend." Which makes her blush but she just laughs it off.

"Remember Lisa, how Seulgi unnie were ignoring him before? Now look what happens" YooA tells them and smile sheepishly towards Seulgi.

"Oh yes, YooA unnie! Certainly, Seulgi unnie was so in denial but we all know oppa has a huge crush on her. Like I can't believe how obvious he was."

The best thing about reunion is reminiscing the past and reliving those moments we might missed.

Seulgi definitely remembers the time YooA and Lisa were referring to and to be honest it was true that she was in denial that time because all she was hearing was simply unfounded rumor.

Everyone around her claimed that there was this guy having an obvious crush on her. But then again, rumor was just rumor. Speculations.

It was in December when Seoul was snowing for the first time that winter season. Seulgi was having a short break on Christmas with her family at their place when she received a text from an unknown number.

One message received

"Hi. I must be crazy but the falling snow will be my witness. I think you are so beautiful ever since the first time I see you. I also like seeing you dance. I also like your voice when you sing. I like it when you laugh your eyes smile are so cute. I like your monolids--"

She stared at her phone for a good minute trying to make sense out of the text she received from a stranger.
