Skylar Reid is one of the quite girls in her year and also the girl that no one notices. Or so she thought. Mason Rivers had a crush on Skylar since they had first started high school but hasn't worked up the courage to talk to her until now.

Skylar sat in the Kitchen, a cup of black coffee in hand while having a conversation with her mother about Mason, she described him to her as the 'Mysterious Cutie', she didn't know why put that was the only think that came to her mind.
"So when do I meet this mysterious cutie?" Her mother asked giving her one of the most devious smile.
"I don't know mom." Skylar replied simply, she could tell her mother wanted to know more about Mason but she herself wanted more scoop too.
"Okay, but I hope it's sooner than later." She stated, placing a kiss on her forehead and heading out the kitchen.
After finishing her coffee, Skylar made her way up to her room closing the door behind her. Taking her diary out of her bag she plopped down onto her bed and began writing.

8:30 a.m.
Dear Skyiary I think I found a new friend, I don't know if I could tell him some of the things I tell you yet, but he does know my name and a little about you, nothing major. Ok so yesterday in AP literature was the first I had met Mysterious Cutie. It was definitely the first time I noticed him and I don't know if it was his first. For all I know he could have been watching me all along and just built up the courage to talk to me yesterday. I couldn't helpbut observe his features for the whole day. From the tattoos, to the beard, to the eyes, smile and that voice. I'm gonna write down everything new I find out about him starting from today....
Skylar labelled the first yellow page in her book as 'Things About Mysterious Cutie' and started to write the main things she noticed about him. Skylar didn't really know if she liked Mason as a friend or more, all she knew was that he was the only person at school he ever talked to her like a normal person or even talked to her at all. She had always been the one to get the odd stares and whispers behind her back, so as a resolution she got used to them and just ignored everyone.
Closing the diary after finishing the last thing she knew about him Skylar laid back in her bed and began to relax.

A sudden rap on the door pulled Skylar into an upright position and out of her nap. Whilst sitting up she noticed her father standing in front of the door.
"Hey cupcake I was just coming up to check on you." Her father said giving her a smile.
He turned on his heal getting ready to leave the room but stopped abruptly. Skylar assumed that he had forgot to tell her something which was a regular at times.
"We're going over to the neighbors house tonight at around 6 , I heard they had two kids one around your age and one younger about 12 or 13." He stated closing the door and going bout his business.
Since it was already thirty five minutes into the hour of five Skylar decided it would be best if she had just picked out her clothes, shower and brush her teeth one time.
When Skylar had finished bathing and everything it was nearly time to leave, she quickly put on her favorite black dress, did her hair in one and added some red lipstick to finish off the look. She quickly put on her black heels and went downstairs to meet her parents.

"I was just about to come call you." Skylar's mom said just as she came down the stairs.
They all left the house Mr.Reid locking the front door while Skylar and her mother carried the food over to the neighbors. Skylar held the pan in one hand and knocked on the door , a muffled reply came from the other end and she let her hands slide to her side.
The door opened revealing a little girl with long black hair and striking light brown eyes, for a while Skylar taught she looked like someone she knew but just couldn't seem to put her fingers on it.
"Mommy they're here." The little girl shouted inside the house.
"Let them in." A feminine voice shouted back, Skylar assumed it was the mother this time.
"Goodnight, welcome to our home I'm Loraine Rivers nice to meet you." She announced while leading us into the kitchen.
Everyone exchanged greetings and Mrs. Rivers apologized for her sons absence stating that he had already made plans with his friends to go camping for the weekend. But she announce that he went to my school and I will meet him as soon.
