Chapter 8

Naomi's POV~~~
   I went to my closet and searched for the perfect thing to wear. I had to admit even though I don't know pineapple head that well...I had a crush on him. I ransacked my closet. Pulling out dress by dress by skirt. Then I came face to face with the perfect outfit.
   It was a black sleeveless swing dress. It makes my violet eye pop out. Before I put it on I had put on a sleeveless shirt with a mask attached and some spandex. I put the dress on and did my eye make up. Eyeliner and mascara. I curled my long hair which took......forever...... Once I was finished I looked at the time and saw I had about 15 mins left. I walked to my stand and strapped my small knife under my dress on my leg. I sprayed some minty mouth spray so it doesn't smell terrible.
   I walked downstairs and was about to look for a pair of shoes when I heard someone clear their throats behind me. I slowly turned around and saw onii-san with his arm crossed while tapping his foot.
   "And where do you think you're going at this time dressed like that?" He asked. I softly chuckled and rubbed the back of my head. Then I fiddled with a piece of hair.
   "..I have a date tonight." I mumbled.
   "Hmm? I can't hear you." He said leaning in.
   "I have a date tonight." I said softly while blushing a little.
   "WHO IS THIS BOY?! WHO DARES TAKE MY IMUOTO ON A DATE WITHOUT MY PERMISSION?!!" He yells with fire in his eyes. I sweat drop.
   "His name is Shikamaru Nara." I said.
   "Hmm....a Nara huh..." he said.
   I grabbed a pair of black pumps and put them on.
   "Onii-san I have 5 minutes left. I have to go." I told him.
   "Wait! Let me walk you! Let me meet this Nara." He said. I sighed but nodded. We both walked to the spot he showed me yesterday and when I got there he was standing there with a black t-shirt and some jeans. I started to feel insecure and over dressed. Kakashi sensing my distress put his hand on my shoulder and said,
   "You look beautiful. Now let's go talk to this kid."
   We walked up to him and I was walking behind Kakashi because I was scared and nervous. Pineapple head turned his head towards us and his eyes widen to see Kakashi instead of me.
   "So you're the Nara who asked my imuoto on a date huh?" He asked.
   "Yes I am. I promise to take care of her." Pineapple head replied. Kakashi observed him and then nodded.
   "Keep her safe. Enjoy your date imuoto." He said while turning around looking at me.
   I peeked my head out and then slowly walked out. Pineapple's eyes widen and he blushed as he took in my appearance.
   "You look......amazing.." he said. I nodded my head and showed him my notebook.
   'You don't look too bad yourself.'
   "Take care now. Enjoy your date." Kakashi said again and then left. Pineapple head and I looked at each other and he held out his hand. I took it and he lead me to a nice restaurant.  Not too expensive but not too cheap either. We walked up to the hostess and she smiled at us.
   "Welcome! Have you reserved a table?" She asked. Pineapple head nodded.
   "It's under Shikamaru Nara." He said. The lady checked her list and then smiled at us.
   "Please follow me." She said and lead us to our table. It was a nice booth next to a window to look at the view outside. The lady handed our menus and left. I skimmed it over and found what I wanted. It was a chicken Alfredo pasta with a small side of salad and you got to choose your dessert with no payment added. I chose a slice of tiramisu cake.
   "Do you know what you're getting?" I look up and nodded. "Alright then. Waiter!"
   "Are you guys ready to order?" The guy asked. We nodded.
   "I'll have the steak with potatoes on the side and no dessert." Pineapple head ordered. I wrote down what I wanted and showed it to him. He wrote it down and took our menus.
   "Alright. They'll be right out for you." He said and left. I looked at pineapple head.
   "So tell me about yourself. What's your favorite color?" Pineapple asked me. And this is how it led to 20 questions. I found out so much about him. His birthday was three days before mine making him a Virgo. He hates boiled eggs and he loves playing shogi. Our food came out and we ate.
   'HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO EAT WITHOUT MY MASK?! I can't show him my face...' I thought. Then an idea popped up in my head. I pointed to the door and he was confused to he turned around and then I dropped his fork which he heard and picked it up. During this time I pulled my mask down and ate everything as a fast as I could. I patted my lips with a napkin and softly burped. I sprayed some mint into my mouth again and pulled my mask up. He got up and looked at my plate seeing that it was gone. His eyes widen and looked at me. I looked back at him and blushed a little feeling embarrassed. He went to the bathroom and cleaned his fork and I pulled my mask back down for a sip of water. I pulled it back up and waited. He came back and then started eating. He looked at me and I blushed. What's wrong with me?!
   "Why don't you want to show your face?" He asked. I wrote the answer and showed it to him.
   'I'm insecure.'
   "I bet you're beautiful." He said. I blushed harder. When he was done I tried to pay but he snatched it from me. I looked at him and pouted.
   "I'm going to pay there's no arguing with this." He said and put he money in the checkbook. We got up and left.
   "Did you have fun?" He asked. I nodded. "Good because that's only the first part of the date." I looked at him confusingly. "Just wait you'll see." He said.
   He grabbed my hand and lead me somewhere. When we got there I took in everything. We were at a lake and it was beautiful. There were fireflies flying around and a small gazebo with vines wrapped around it. The water was a dark blue but the moon and stars shined off it making it look fascinating.
   "Do you like it?" He asked. I turned towards him and nodded. I was smiling. This was amazing. He walked up to me and put his hands on my face. He slowly pulled the mask down but I pulled it back up. He got a glimpse of my face!
   "Naomi..." He said. We stared into
each other's eyes until he stood up. "It was fun." he said and blushed while rubbing his neck. "Did you have fun?" I nodded and blushed. "Would you go on another date with me?" I nodded again. "Great. Tomorrow I'll pick you up at 12 for a lunch date." He said and smiled. I nodded AGAIN. He came over and hugged me. I blushed hard and he laughed.
   He walked me home while and we said goodbye. I watched him leave and entered the house. I smiled and danced around. I ran up to my room and plopped onto my bed smiling and grinning.
"I'm glad you had fun kid." I heard Misaki say.
   "Thank you!" She had been dormant for awhile but I'm glad she's still there. I did my nightly routine and went to sleep with a smile on my face.
