Chapter 11

Naomi's POV~~~

  As we all got off the boat I started looking around. We started walking towards the forest when suddenly Naruto started running forward.
  "Over there!!" He shouted as he threw a kunai.
  We all stood there waiting for anticipation......
  "Huh it was just a mouse." Naruto says as he adjusts his headband.
  "Stop trying to show off!! There was nothing there to begin with!!" Sakura shouted.
  "Naruto please don't throw kunais around carelessly!" Kakashi warned. I stood next to Kakashi and sweat dropped at the scene.
  "YOU BRAT! Don't be doing things so reckless!!" Gazing scolded.
  "Now I sense something over there! Wait is it over there?!" Ignoring everything they said Naruto begins to look around to search for something. Me and Kakashi looked at each other when we both felt something off. "Over there!!" Naruto threw a kunai.
  "Will you stop it?!" Sakura bonked him on the head and I walked over to comfort him.
  "Listen to me! Someone is following us!" Naruto says while holding his head.
  I walk over to Kakashi when he goes to inspect where Naruto's kunai went and it barely missed a white rabbit.
'Rabbit's fur aren't supposed to be white around this time of year...' I thought to myself and gripped one of my katanas as I looked around.
  "It's a bunny!" Naruto exclaims. He runs over and picks it up as he apologizes over and over.
  "Naomi...have you noticed it too?" Kakashi looked at me.
  "Hai...it's a snow rabbit.." I whispered in his ear. "...It's a substitution..." Kakashi and I then looked up into the trees when we realized they were already here.
  "Everyone down now!" Kakashi yelled. I dived and pushed Naruto down as a giant sword flies over our heads and got stuck in a tree. A man with cow print sleeves and pant legs with bandages wrapped around his face stood on top of the sword.
'Oh no...this is going to be awkward..' I thought as I tried to back away into the forest.
  "Oi...where do you think you're going..? Naomi?" He growled out and I froze in my tracks. I slowly turned around and put a hand up to greet him. "After 5 years that's all I get? I'm hurt and I thought I was your sensei." He started to chuckle.
  "Wow if it isn't the infamous Rogue Ninja of the Hidden Mist, Zabuza Momochi." Kakashi said.
'It sure has been awhile huh sensei? Hahah...' I lifted my notebook.
Naruto tried to run towards him but Kakashi stopped him before he could get any closer. "You need to stay back."
"But why?!" Naruto asks.
"He's not any ordinary ninja Naruto. His skill are on a completely different level than the guys from before." Kakashi said. "If he's our opponent than I guess I have no choice." He reached for his headband.
"I assume you're Kakashi the sharingan user." Zabuza said looking down at Kakashi. Sasuke looked so confused and angry as soon as he said that. "Sorry to say but I need you to hand over the old guy."
"Manji formation and make sure to protect Tazuna." Kakashi said. "Don't get involved." He lifts up his head band and opens his eyes to reveal his sharingan.
"Didn't think I'd be able to the sharingan so soon. What an honor." Zabuza said.
"Sharingan this sharingan that. Just what is the sharingan?!" Naruto yells.
"The sharingan... allows the user to deflect any kind of genjutsu, taijutsu, and ninjutsu. It's unique among any Visual Art user. But the sharingan can do so much more." Sasuke explained.
"Good explanation. The only scary thing about that eye is how it can copy jutsus from their opponents." Zabuza explained as mist started to appear. "Back when I was still in the Anbu of the Hidden Mist I found information about you in the Bingo Book I carried with me. A man who's copied over a thousand jutsus/skills known as Kakashi the Copy Ninja. As for you my lovely student you're known as the Fallen Angel, the girl who traps her opponents with her melodies."
'Really...?" I sweatdropped.
"A-Amazing!" Naruto shouted. I didn't notice it but Sasuke was staring at Kakashi and I.
"It was nice talking to ya but I have to kill that old man right now." Zabuza said as he crouched and the four of us, excluding Kakashi, stood around Tazuna. Sakura was on his right, Naruto on his left, Sasuke im front and I was in the back. "I guess I have to defeat you if I wanna be able to kill him." He then grabbed his sword and disappeared in a flash. We listened as the water started to ripple. "Ninja Art: Hidden Mist jutsu." The mist got heavier and Zabuza seemed to vanish.
"He's gone?" Naruto asked.
"Kakashi-sensei?" Sakura asked as he walked towards the water.
"He'll most likely come after me first.." Kakashi said.
"Who in the world is he?" Sakura asks.
"Zabuza Momochi. A Anbu Black Ops member from the Hidden Mist his special technique is known as "the silent killing." Kakashi explained.
I ignored the rest as I closed my eyes and listened to the forest. The mist got even heavier and I grabbed a kunai in each hand ready for whatever will come. Kakashi was no where to be seen and Zabuza's voice started to echo around us. A sudden blood thirst feeling hit me and I realized it was Kakashi preparing a jutsu.
  "I'll protect you with my life so you have nothing to worry about." I hear Kakashi say and I smile. "I'm not going to let my comrades die." He turns and gives us a closed eye smile.
  "Really now..?" Zabuza asks and my eyes flew open as I turned around and pulled Tazuna away from the circle. As soon as I did Zabuza appeared in the middle of us. We watch as Kakashi teleports and stabs Zabuza in the stomach with a kunai but it turned out to be a water clone.
  "Behind you!" Naruto shouts and I teleport behind Kakashi and block Zabuza's swords with my two kunais.
  "I see that you're still as fast as ever Naomi." I can tell he's smirking from under his bandages.
  "Naomi! You are supposed to protect Tazuna!" Kakashi yelled as he turns around. I just turn and wink at him before throwing his sword up and slicing his stomach with both kunais. The clone turns into water and another one appears. As soon as the clone appears Kakashi snuck up behind it and I quickly put my kunais away to draw both katanas and make an X around his neck waiting for him to give up. I narrow my eyes at him as he starts laughing.
  "You're good but it's not over just yet. You won't be able to beat me like that. You probably copied my jutsu earlier and you sent that clone out to make us think it was you however... I'm not stupid." Zabuza says. Then a clone appears behind Kakashi and my eyes widen. The clone in between us disappears and I race to help Kakashi but then I grabbed my swords to deflect his sword when he swung it around. I jumped back and watched as he jumped into the water after Kakashi.
  "This water is..heavy.." Kakashi says as he got up.
  "Haha fool! Water Prison jutsu!" Zabuza appeared behind him and made some hand signs before a ball of water appeared around Kakashi. My eyes widened and then narrowed in anger.
  "Acting all big and mighty just because you wear a headband on your head like a ninja. Let me tell you something... a real ninja is somebody who has balanced between life and death. If you're worthy to be in my Bingo Book you get to be called a ninja. But you little twerps don't deserve that title." Zabuza said as his clone appeared and then vanished. Naruto gets kicked away and his headband falls off. "You're only a child."
  "Naruto!" Sakura called out. m
  "You guys need to grab Tazuna and get out of here. You guys can't fight against him. He can't move if he's got me trapped in this Water Prison so he shouldn't be able to use the clone if he's far from his body! So run!"  Kakashi yells.
  I shook my head and grit my teeth. I walked in front of the the other three and prepared to fight. I lifted my sword up at them and spelled some words out.
'Those who abandon their comrades are worse than scum.'
Kakahsi's eyes widened and then he shook his head. He looked at me again with pride shining in his eyes. Sasuke got the message and smirked then ran towards Zabuza's clone. As he did that I took the opportunity to quickly substitute a clone in my place as I hid in Sasuke's shadow. As soon as Sasuke jumped into the air I switched places and hid in Zabuza's shadow. Zabuza grabbed Sasuke by the throat and threw him but my clone managed to catch him. I made some shadow chains and cuffed his legs together.
"What the..?" His clone looked down and I jumped from his shadow and slashed him with my two katanas making the clone turn into water. The shadow chains disappeared and I change out one katana for a fan. However another clone appeared and kicked me back. I managed to block it but then Naruto started running towards it only to get kicked back. I ran towards him to check up on him.
"What do you think you're doing?! You're no match for him! Not even Sasuke was!! Nobody here can take him on we're only genin!" Sakura says. I slap her in the face.
'At least he's trying to face him unlike you. If you haven't noticed all three of us tried to attack and what exactly have you done?!'
I let her read it before putting the notebook away quickly. She glares at me but says nothing. I scoff and turn back ready to fight. I looked at Naurot to see that he got his headband back.
"Hey no-brow... our this in your Bingo Book..about the guy who's going to be Hokahe one day. Leaf-style Ninja, Naruto Uzumaki!" He ties his headband on and smirks. "Listen up Sasuke I have a plan."
"I didn't know you understood what teamwork was." Sasuke replies.
"Let's get crazy." Naruto wipes his chin.
"Are you sure you have a plan to win?" Zabuza ask.
"Why aren't you running?! I told you to run! You're supposed to focus on our mission which was to protect Tazuna!! Don't tell me you've forgotten?!" Kakashi yells.
We turn back to look at Tazuna. "Go and fight!" He says.
"You heard him loud and clear." Sasuke says.
"Prepared for this?" Naruto asks.
Zabuza just laughs. "You still haven't learned yet. Still trying to play Ninja? You know when I was your age I already had blood on my hands." Zabuza explains. "I know I'm not the only one who has done that." He laughs louder as he secretly looks at me.
I run at him with my weapons ready and I block his sword with mine and pushed him further back with my fan to give us a little edge. The clone vanished and knocks Sasuke out of the way and elbows him in the gut. Naruto summonsed some shadow clones and I hid in their shadows once more. I created a ball chain weapon with a stick as I jumped from shadow to shadow. Naruto's shadow clones piled on top of him but he threw all of them off with one hit. I took that chance to jump out from a shadow and swing the ball at him. He dodged it and swung his sword at me. I used the stick as a shield and held it off for as long as I can.
  "Sasuke!" Naruto threw something towards him. It unfolded and reveals a Demon Wind Shuriken.
  "That thing won't work on me." Zabuza says. Sasuke jumps up and throws the Shurkien missing the clone but aiming for the body. As he threw the the shuriken I realized what they were doing. I smirked and got ready. Zabuza caught the shuriken and doves the shadow one only to show that the shadow was a substitution for Naruto.
  "Here I go!!!" Naruto yells as he threw a kunai. It scratched his eye and hit his clone making it disappear. Angry, Zabuza turned and got waited for the perfect opprotunity to throw the shuriken at Naruto.
  "You stupid brat!!" As winds his arm back but before he could launch the shuriken I quickly changed the ball and chain into a chain and caught the shuriken making it stuck. Kakashi got free and glared at Zabuza as he stood in front of him. Naruto explained his plan and how it worked out.
  "So you distracted me to make me break the Water Prison." Zabuza commented.
  "You didn't willingly break it, they made you." Kakashi corrected him. Zabuza tried to pull the shuriken out of my hold and but I held on as tightly as I could. I then pulled back really hard and made the shuriken fly away, but it looked like he knew I was going to so he changed the direction.
  "Ack!" The shuriken flies back and cuts my stomach widely. Blood comes out of my mouth, through my mask, and on the floor.
  "Naomi!" Naruto yells. I turn to him slowly and and smile.
Zabuza then started making these hand signs while staring at Kakashi and it led to Kakashi colin his jutsu. Two water dragons came from the lake and attacked each other. They collided making the water splash everywhere. I jumped up to avoid the water and landed on a branch twirling my chain. I hold ont the the tree as I feel faint. The water revealed Kakashi defending Zabuza's sword with his kunai. They break and run around each other suddenly putting one hand in the air and the other on their lips. Kakashi was coming everything Zabuza was doing and suddenly a giant water vortex Appeared in front of Kakashi and hit Zabuza.
'What in the world is happening...' I thought to myself. I narrowed my eyes in confusion and then they popped open and looked around. 'He's here..' Suddenly two devon needles got thrown into Zabuza's neck and he fell. I narrowed my eyes as I recognized the mask.
  "Thank you. I have been targeting Zabuza for quite some time now and I was finally able to kill him thanks to you." A masked figured appeared and bowed.
  "You are a Tracker Ninja from the Billage Hidden in the Mist, by the looks of your mask that is." Kakashi says.
  "You're quite knowledgeable." The figure says. I gripped my chains and grit my teeth in anger as he continued talking. I twirl the chains so fast until I threw them at a tree making it fly across the forest taking a couple of trees down with it. I look back and watch as he grabbed Zabuza's body and went off. Black spots had invaided my vision and I was breathing heavily. I watch as Naurto punches the ground in anger but I couldn't stand up straight. The next thing I knew the floor was coming at me really quickly and my vision blacked out....

2590 words!! Longest Chapter I've written so far :)) I hope you guys are enjoying the book. I won't lie I really have thought about deleting the book but now after all of the support I've gotten Ive decided to continue as best as I can. Please forgive me for not updating in a year! I was going through some tough changes and now I'm trying to focus on my grades so that I can graduate. Also the book is NOT EDITED. I will go back and edit along the way, sometimes will writing a new chapter or after I finish the book. It just depends really but please I ask that you don't judge me for my stupidness. I will go back and fix things to make it better. I was editing some of the other chapters this week so you may have noticed that I changed some things like her chakra nature or some of the Shikamaru scenes because I didn't realize how bad that one scene was haha! But I changed it so it was more PG-13. Please bear with me and I understand if you don't. But I hope you enjoy this chapter and I'll see you in the next chapter. Peaceeee out~ ✌🏼
