A killer smile - Alex Hayes

Chapter 12

It's 3:45. Nick, Bayley and I are currently waiting for alex to pick up some boards and some togs (aussie sland for swimmers/bathing suit etc) for me, and board shorts for the boys. We haven't been waiting long. On the way here Bayley stopped at maccas for a quick feast. Not all heroes wear capes.

The ringing sound of alex's car awakens me from my deep thought. He turns up with 4 surf boards and a red boogie board sort of thing. It looks like something you'd wake board with, i guess.

"Sorry, mum said i had to clean up." Alex says as he gets out the boards and hands them to us. He also brought down his go pro, probably wanting to take some shots.

"No worries. You want us to record you?" Nick spoke as if this always happens.

"You know the drill. Thanks man."

"Can we get in the water already?" I've had enough of pointless conversation and just want to get on my board already. The boys nod and head towards the ocean with me.

I tighten my leg strap, hoping it won't fall off. Nick is getting the go pro ready to record alex and bayley is already in the water. Alex is ready to go, just waiting for nick as I do the same.

"Go with Bayley. This is gonna take a bit and I don't want you getting even more moodier." Alex smiles into his words, making what he just said even more cheeky. I roll my eyes and grab my board.

As the cold water hits my toes, chills get sent get down my spine. I could get use to this. Once the water is up to my bust, i jump into my board and paddle out to where Bayley is.

"The waves are a bit bigger today, but the water is still so nice." I admire the ocean as bayley tells me about the waves and the water. I turn to look at Nick and Alex, but they aren't there. They must be paddling out to us or something, I brush off the thought.

"You did so good for a second timer. Better than all of us did."

"Awh thanks nick. Well I did learn from the best." I look at alex. He's on his phone but you can tell he's smiling.

"So are you all attending my party tomorrow night?" Shit! I completely forgot about Alex's party. I have nothing to wear. Nick and Bayley nod.

"Yeah?" I always make a fool of myself.

"April, you're coming weather you like it or not. Plus, we're getting turnt." Nick adds. Turnt? As in alcohol? I'm a heavy weight so I'll be alright but we are all under aged. Except for josh.

"I'll be there. Uh, what do I wear?" All three boys smirk at me.

"Nothing." Nick and Bayley say at the same time.  My jaw drops.

"Just wear something casual, but a little more fancy than jeans or shorts. Like maybe a cute short dress? Bring your togs too." Alex is probably the only sensitive one here. I agree with alex, and give the other two a cheeky glare.  Alex drops me home and nick and Bayley go their seperate ways.

"See you tomorrow." Alex smirks. I smile and wave him off. Time to plan out what I'm gonna wear for tomorrow night..
