A/N: Wooow took a few days to get this one done!

{Michelle}

What did I just do?

That was a mistake. A huge mistake. He has a girlfriend, and I have a boyfriend, I can't just kiss him!

Frantically, I pull out my phone and text Riley.

Riley, meet me at the music room ASAP!!

Then I rush down to the music room and sit on the floor to wait.

After a few minutes, Riley sprints into the room and literally skids across the floor. She's wearing ballet shoes, so she almost falls.

"What? Michelle, what's wrong?"

I can't help it. I laugh. Riley's still looking around like there's a fire. My text may have possibly been formatted too urgently.

"Riley! Calm down!"

Riley relaxes a bit and sits down on the floor across from me. "So, what's the emergency?"

I take a deep breath. "I kind of...kissed...Eldon...a little bit...on the cheek...during our duet rehearsal..." Oh god, it sounds worse when I say it out loud. To my surprise, Riley rolls her eyes.

"That's all? I sprinted all the way down here for that?"

What??

"What do you mean, 'that's all?' It's a big deal! Riley!"

She mutters something to herself.

"What was that?" I ask. She sounds very suspicious right now. Why doesn't she realize this is a huge problem?

Riley sighs. "I owe West 10 bucks."

I guess the shocked look on my face conveys my emotions pretty well, because Riley grins sheepishly and explains.

"West figured you would crack first, but Steph and I thought it would be Eldon. So now we owe him 10 bucks each."

"Riley."

 "Yes."

"Did you and Steph and West...bet on this?"

Riley glances at the ceiling, as if the answer will be there. "Uh. That is an accurate statement, yes."

I cannot believe what is happening right now. They all bet on the fact that I would kiss Eldon! There is no way they could have predicted this!

"Riley, you want to tell me how you decided on this particular topic to bet money on?"

Riley kind of laughs. "Funny story, actually. See, no one actually believed that you were going to stay broken up for very long, and so--"

"Wait," I cut her off. "We're still apart, what are you talking about?"

Riley gives an exasperated sigh. "Right. Of course. You're 'apart'," she makes air quotes.

"Riley! We are! I don't know what came over me when I kissed him, but I still like John and I'm sure he still likes Thalia!"

Riley is quiet and arches an eyebrow at me. I didn't know she could do that so well. It's unnerving. After a while she stands. "Okay, Michelle. Okay. So you don't like Eldon. But that doesn't change the fact that you're going to have to see him practically everyday so you can practice your incredibly romantic duet for a few hours. How sure are you that you're completely over him?"

I have to think about that. She's right, and it's terrifying.

{Riley}

I have to remind myself never to bet against West...
