A/N: I am NOT breaking up Jiley! Don't worry. In this story the Riley/James/Beth thing works itself out like it did in canon events, with the list and everything. Phew.

To say Eldon was confused would be an understatement of epic proportions. He was ecstatic, he was worried because he was ecstatic, he was happy, but guilty that he was happy. He didn't know what to do, and whenever he didn't know what to do there was only one solution.

Talk to James.

~~~
"Hey, James?" Eldon approached James at Culture Shock.
"Yeah man, wassup?" James looked up from his phone.
Eldon sat down and heaved a sigh. "I need some advice. Girl advice."
James laughed. "You have come to the right place! Although I probably shouldn't be talking right now with all the Beth/Riley drama going on...but anyways! What's wrong? I thought you and Thalia were really chill. You got the 30 pirouettes, and she likes you back, right?"
Eldon shifted uncomfortably. "Yeah! Yeah, that's all true. Me and Thalia are good. Really good."
"Then what's the matter?" James sat back in his chair and looked hard at Eldon. "Waiiiiit a second. It's not Thalia, is it," James wasn't asking, he already knew the answer.
Eldon nodded slowly, but kept his eyes on the table.
James leaned forward and poked Eldon's forehead back with two fingers. "What is it with you, dude? Seriously? Is it Emily or Michelle?"
"Michelle," Eldon mumbled.
"Alright then. Didn't you two have a nasty break-up? 'Cause you lost her to Hunter and then she found out, and then she dated Hunter, and you were ignoring each other, and then Miss Kate assigned you that awkward duet--oh! It's the duet isn't it!"
Eldon nodded again. "Yeah."
"Well spill! I can't guess everything."
Eldon fingered the edge of the table. "I...I don't actually know what's going on. Look, yesterday we were doing coreo for the duet, and honestly it wasn't that bad. We kinda stopped being weird. And then at the end...I dunno!"
James looked at Eldon bug eyed. "Just. Tell. Me."
"She--she kind of kissed me. Not on the lips or anything, but still!"
James gaped. "You're kidding me, right?"
Eldon frowned and shook his head. James exhaled loudly. "Well. I mean, at least things aren't awkward between you guys anymore!" he laughed, straining.
"James! What should I do? I don't know how I feel anymore! Of course I like Thalia, I think I might even more than like Thalia. But...I can't help it. I fell for Michelle once and I don't know how she feels or why she did what she did or even how I feel about her and aghhhhh," Eldon trailed off and buried his head in his arms on the table.
James pondered.
"Ok, here's what you should do," Eldon looked up hopefully. "You see how you and Michelle are around each other. Just spend a little more time together, stop icing each other out. Try to figure out your feelings.
"I can't help you a ton in this situation, Eldon. You just have to decide if you still like Michelle, and if you like her more than Thalia."
Eldon gave James his best 'bitch, please' look. "Oh, that's all, is it? Great advice, James. Thanks."
James, blissfully unaware of Eldon's sarcasm, grinned cheerfully. "You're welcome, man. Now go get your--er--a girl."
Eldon left James feeling even more conflicted than before.
