As they pulled back in front of her house, she turned to him
"Thanks for this amazing date love." She said hugging his neck
He chuckled and wrapped his arms around her waist burying his nose in her hair
It always smelled like happiness.
"Your welcome princess, I'll see you tomorrow okay? I love you." He told her
She smiled and kissed him before she got out of the car and ran up the pathway, turning the doorknob before she turned back around and blew him a kiss, he pretended to catch it and then, after making sure she was safely inside, he drove off
Evelyn walked inside only to be met by her mom, looking furious and her dad sitting on the steps looking exhausted
"You've been with that hooligan again?" She gritted
Evelyn looked at her
"Yes." She replied
"I don't know what you see in that criminal, that street rat." Her mom insulted
Evelyn didn't miss the way her dad flinched at every word her mom spewed
"He's nothing of the sort, he's the most amazing, perfect guy I've ever met." Evelyn stood up to her mom
"If he's all you say he is, invite him over for dinner, tomorrow night, at 8." Her mom smirked
"If that's what it will take, consider it done." Evelyn smirked back
Her mom grimaced and walked into the kitchen
"Baby, you don't have to, if Dean isn't ready." Her dad sympathized
But she shook her head
"We've been dating for 3 years I think it's time you two meet him, I'll ask him tomorrow when he picks me up," she told her dad bidding him a quiet goodnight before she ran up to her room
