Evelyn sighed as she walked through the church doors behind her mother and father. This was the last place she wanted to be right now. This place made her angry and she really didn't want to be here.
"Are you okay sweetie?" her dad asked
Evelyn forced a smile and nodded before she took a seat next to a guy with two toned hair in a fitted suit

He was insanely cute, but her heart belonged to another, but she still sat next to him and he hit her a shy smile which she returned
"I'm Seth," he told her she turned to him and smiled briefly
"Evelyn," she replied, they both looked shocked
Their parents had set them up, she had to admit, Seth was incredibly handsome and smart and charming, but Dean was her everything, ruggedly handsome, philosophical and so intelligent and when he flashed those dimples, everybody melted
After they both realized who the other was, they sat in silence for the rest of the service.
When her parents were ready to go, her mom shook hands with who Evelyn assumed was Seth's parents
When they reached home, Stephanie got busy making dinner
"What're you doing?" Paul asked the question that ranked heavy on Evelyn's mind
"Seth and his mom and dad are coming over for dinner, to get better acquainted," Stephanie said
"They'll be here in an hour, Evelyn, Paul go get ready." Stephanie ordered
Evelyn rolled her eyes and ran upstairs, she thought Seth was a nice guy before she knew who he was.
1 HOUR LATER
When that dreadful hour was finally up, and the doorbell rang, Evelyn felt like throwing up

Evelyn smiled forcibly as Stephanie clenched her by her elbow and dragged her to stand in front of Seth and his mom and dad
"Hello Evelyn, how are you dear?" Seth's mom asked
Evelyn smiled
"I'm fine Mrs. Rollins," she said politely before she wrenched her elbow from the vice grip her mom had held her in and then she walked over to her dad who rubbed the now slightly bruising area
When Evelyn went to help her mom plate out dinner, Seth's mom agreed with Stephanie that Evelyn and Seth should be excused to get to know each other, so Seth and Evelyn were forced to have dinner in the garden that Evelyn had planted with her dad
"You have a beautiful home," Seth began, trying to make small talk but Evelyn was distracted
"Oh, uh, thank you." Evelyn said and an uncomfortable silence settled over them
Little did anyone know, Evelyn was fiddling with a locket that held a picture of Dean, given to her by the man himself

She smiled fondly and ran her fingertips over his picture
"Who's the guy?" Seth asked
Evelyn looked up startled
"Which guy?" she asked playing it cool
He playfully rolled his eyes and smiled
"The guy that's dancing around in your mind, making you smile at your hands," Seth said
Evelyn took a deep breath and slowly trained her eyes on Seth
