Then she heard her mom squeal as the doorbell rang. She took a deep breath and smiled before she walked down the stairs watching as Dean looked up at her and his eyes turned a lighter shade of blue as he made his way towards her.
"Hey." He said smiling sheepishly "Hi." Evelyn replied smiling, before she leaned in to peck his lips
"Let's get out to the lanai," Paul said smiling at his daughter and future son in law.
They agreed and joined hands following Paul while Stephanie stayed in the kitchen to finish up cooking

Evelyn smiled as she saw her mom and dad laugh at something Dean said and she decided this was the perfect moment, she picked up her guitar and stood up
"I know mom hasn't been Dean's biggest fan, but he means everything to me, and I love him so mom I know why you were skeptical of him so hopefully this song changes your mind." Evelyn announced before starting to sing.
After she was done singing, Dean got up and kissed Evelyn, Stephanie had gotten up and hugged Evelyn and Dean, followed by Paul who got up and hugged everyone in a group hug
As they separated, Stephanie looked at Dean and put her hand on his cheek
"Thank you for taking care of my daughter," she said sincerity burning in her blue eyes
"She's taken better care of me, so it should be me thanking you for making this perfect angel," Dean said
Stephanie grinned a watery smile and embraced Dean who wrapped his muscular hands around his mother in law
