It Just Had To Be Like This... // Max and Harvey

~Chapter 12~

I sprinted home as quick as possible- via the shops. I picked up a load of stuff like crisps, chocolate, cake, sweets and other party food. (Don't worry, the pizza comes in later... ;)) If you're wondering how I could afford it, I have a mini job where I do gardening for people around our community.

I ran for a good couple of minutes until I saw a clothes store. I  immediately stopped and being a shopping obsessed teenage girl, I had to get a new swimsuit. I strolled over to the one pieces until I thought "Meh, life's too short; Get a bikini instead." and looked over all the different ones. After a few seconds of consideration, I picked out one that had a range of almost painfully bright range of colours and it was one of those one where the strap goes around your neck. (If you know what I mean.)

Mum was already home when I barged through the door.
"Honey, I'm hommmmmmmmmmmmmeeeeeeeeee." I yelled as I walked through the door. I was so happy school was over and we got a good month and a half to do what we wanted. Not wanting to waste any time, I tore through the shopping and started to set everything out on a table.
"Why don't you put the table out on the decking by the pool?" Mum suggested .
"That is a pretty good darn idea." I replied excitedly- I couldn't wait for the squad to arrive- well I could, but not very well.  I'm not that good at waiting.

To be honest, I had no idea what the pool looked like so I was really excited to see what the pool was like.
I walked outside carrying the table with great difficulty but when I saw the pool I nearly  dropped it. It was huge! There was even a small diving board on the side!
"It gets better Poppy. If you go over here" Mum led me to a small corner in the sparkling pool. "It has bubbles coming up from the ground and if you go over here-" Mum took me to the other end of the pool. "There is a wave machine. What do you think?" 
What did I think? It was absolutely flipping amazing! Mum was the best person in the world right now.
"I freaking love it Mum! You're the best person ever!" I squeal, squeezing the life out of Mum in a giant hug. After my mini fit, I glance down at the time. The squad should be here in half an hour. Urgh that was such a long time! I decided to take the opportunity to try out my new bikini. I wandered into my room and glanced in the mirror.
"Damn, I look smoking hot." I joked to myself. I heard Mum walk past my room and have a fake coughing fit, say the word "Vain" and then have another fake coughing fit. Wow, that's my Mum for you...

I passed the time also by skimming over my social media pages, nothing too interesting. I glanced down at my watch again. Whoa... It was already five to five! Time goes by too quickly these days. That was when I heard a knock on the door. I quickly rushed down to get it.
"Hi Poppy!" Harvey and Max said in unison. "Sorry we're early we had nothing better to do than get out of the house." Max explained. 
"Its fine. Come in, Sophia and Gwidvall should be here any time soon." I smiled as they took their shoes of at the door. Only a few minutes later, Sophia and Gwidvall came waddling into the house.
"Hey!" I said hugging them both. "Come in." I led them through to my room where Max and Harvey had already made themselves at home.
"If you guys want to get changed then there are several bathrooms downstairs." I smiled at my friends before going into one of the bathrooms and locking the door behind me. I stripped off as quickly as possible and chucked on my bikini. When I was ready to go, I opened the stff door again and made my way to the pool.
"CANNONBALL!" I heard someone shout behind me. I turned around to see Harvey running to the pool. Before I had time to think, he grabbed my hand and pulled me along. Soon I felt water rush all over me as we both plunged into the pool. I bobbed up to the surface to see Harvey already above me.
"I hate you." I tease him while punching on the shoulder gently.
"I know." He smirked. I suddenly blanked out and before I knew it, we were both leaning in and I suddenly felt his lips on mine. It all came to me as a bit of a shock but then I realised what was going on. It felt a bit weird but I actually kind of liked it (HAHA). We stayed like this for a few seconds before we both pulled away. I tried to stop myself from smiling like an idiot.
"What just-" Harvey started but I finished.
"Happened. Well I don't completely know." I was still dazed by it.

I JUST KISSED MY BEST FRIEND...

"Hey guys!" Sophia jumped into the pool beside us. She was shortly followed by Max, then finally Gwidvall. We all splashed around for a bit.
"Who wants to play Marco Polo?" Harvey suggested.
"Me! But you're on!" Max shouted as we all started to swim away from Harvey.
"Dammit. MARCO!" Harvey closed his eyes.
"POLO!" Everyone replied. Harvey started to swim over to where Max was. I'm guessing this was Harvey's revenge. Max squealed as he swam away but Max wasn't the best swimmer so he went rather slowly. 

Harvey managed to catch up with Max after several of Max's squeals helped him track where Max was. Max squirmed when he was in Harvey's grip which kind of reminded me of a worm...
Idk why. I need help.

"Dammit Harvey." Max muttered under his breath which made me laugh. When Max swam to the side of the pool, we carried on.
"MARCO" Harvey called out once again.
"POLO" We all replied. With me being the closest, Harvey went for me next. Great. I swam away as fast as possible but me being a great genius, I managed to let Harvey corner me.
"Marco." Harvey came up to me with his eyes closed.
"Polo." I replied quietly, hoping he wouldn't hear, but he did. He swam up to me and grabbed me by the waist. He opened his eyes and looked at me.
"Dammit Harvey." I said to him. We both laughed. Harvey flipped his hair before he swam away again.
