Chapter 4,

When I couldn't find Sophie, I was really worried. Patricia told me maybe she went to school early. So i waited until school started.

When Patricia and I went to our first class Sophie wasnt there. In the next class it was the same. She never showed up. "Maybe mom called her home for some reason" I calmed down a bit.

When we got back to the house Eddie took Patricia into the living room because he wanted to talk to her. She came back out with a red face.

"Patricia whats wrong." I say. She pushes past me. I run after her.

"Patricia." I say. I follow her to her room.

"Eddie just broke up with me" she is crying now. Patricia tough girl Williamson is crying.

"Oh no" i say.

"He wants to date Nina" She says."Nina wants to date him to"

"What" i say. So Fabian might be a free agent soon, what i'm i thinking, my friend is crying her eyes out and all i can think about is Fabian.

"They are destined to be together" She says, "i saw it coming all along."

"oh Patricia, is there anything i can do."

"No, just, just, nothing, they cant help it, so i cant be mad at them."

"Yeah, it wont help us get anywhere"

Then Nina walks in, "Look Patricia i'm sorry, its just..."

"i get it Nina, you're destined to be together." Patricia says wiping her tears away.

"Well i just wanted to tell you that we are dating now, so he didn't dump you for no reason." Then she walks out.

"Harsh much." I say, i never though Nina could be so mean.

That night Patricia and i went to check on Fabian, he was crushed.

Days passed by and there was still no sign from Sophie.

Fabian, Patricia and I became really close. Nina and Eddie were still dating and we still havent found any clues on how to get passed the room with scales.

We are eating dinner tonight and the seating arrangment has changed big time. I set at where Nina use to sit, Fabian sits where he always sat, beside him is Patricia Beside her is Jerome then Mara then Nina, then Eddie, an empty seat for Sophie Joy, Mick, Alfie and Amber.

It is really awkward and no one hardly ever talks, except for Mara, Jerome and Mick.

Tonight Fabian and I hang out in my room and play scrabble.

"Ha." He smirks, "I win again." He smiles at me.

I smile back, "You are too smart for me Fabian."

"Yeah right, your smart and pretty too."

"You think I'm pretty. I say.

He blushes, and nods. I put my hand on his on accident. I quickly pull away but he grabs it back. Then i hear a knock on my door. "Gracie." I hear Patricia's voice say.

 Fabian releases my hand and I say, "Come in."

The three of us sat and talked for hours until Victor said is usual 10o'clock thing.

"Night Patricia" i say.

"night" she says back.

"Night Fabian" i say, everytime i say his name i blush.

"Night Gracie" he says smiling and he runs downstairs.
