She screams. Her pain filled cries echoed in the empty space around her. Slowly she fumbled with her fingers, laughing to herself.

"Ahn..that's not good..they're numb.." she coughed.  As her fingers brush over her abdomen, she rubs the metallic liquid between her fingers. In spite of herself she laughs once more.

"Such a fragile body..." she leans towards the wall behind her, using it as a means to slide to the ground and sit. How much time did she have left? Would she be awake for all of it?
Questions bounced around her aching head. The ground was spinning around her.

Taking a deep breath, she held it, knowing well what she needed to do. It would be more painful, but to extend her life..it was a means to an end.

Pressing her blood soaked hand to her side, she applied as much pressure to the wound as she could. Her strength was slipping from her, but she was determined to stay conscious.

Panting echoed around her, interrupting her hazy silence.

"Who...who's there?" She whispered. Her head was pressed to the cement below her, as she stared up above.

"I..found you," the mystery voice was hoarse and out of breath.

"How," she groaned, squeezing her eyes to ignore the spinning world around her.

"The blood..there's so much blood," he sighed.

"Come back, let me take you to your real home,"

"That cage? Never...again," she whispered.
