I thought I could fight him, but he was equally as strong, if not stronger than me.
"I'm trying to protect you dammit!" He yells as he jams his forearm at my throat. He has me backed against a wall literally, but I'm not scared, I'm becoming angrier with every pound of my heart.
Gritting my teeth I snarled at him. "Protect me from what? Yourself and your delusions? You'd be more convincing without your arm against my throat!"
Growling in reply he backs away from me, I fall to the floor and clutch my throat shooting him a glare. If only looks could kill.
"I know your secret." His voice is soft and confident. He steps away from me and braces his arms on the wall for support. I struggle to stand and back myself away from him. My secret? I thought long and hard, he barely knew me from Adam, what the hell was he talking about?
He took a ragged breath, his hand wiping over his face as he looked at me.
"Where your towel fell," his voice was loud but I could barely here him over the pounding of my heart against my chest. That's when it all came back to me, the one secret that made me a hypocrite. The one that drove me here to the middle of no where.
"My tattoo..." I whispered. Disdain was clear in my voice, I had been disgusted with myself.
Silence fell between us, drenching the atmosphere and washing me in shame.
"You weren't supposed to see..." I snapped half heartedly.
Biting his lip as he turned away from me, his low and threatening voice I hadn't heard since the day we met rang in my ears once more. "You weren't supposed to be a liar.."
