Chapter 5: Contact

Firestar never notice she fell into stasis until she opened her optic lids. Maybe having Shockwave sleep with her kinda helped, she turned over to see Shockwave still in deep stasis. Firestar smiled as she got up from the berth and walked out of the quarters, she walked over to the command center to see Soundwave was awake and working already.

"Hey Soundwave, what are you doing?"

"Preparing your next outing without the ring. Without letting Megatron know that you don't have it." Soundwave responded as he held out something that looked like a bracelet.

"That honestly looks better than having a chunky neck ring." Firestar said as they heard Shockwave make his way towards them as she put on the bracelet.

"You ready to go?" Firestar nodded before she joined Shockwave to a ground bridge that appeared in front of them. Once they made it to the other side, Firestar transformed into her human form and flew into the air. She flew in the air as Shockwave took out a tracker and began to follow it signal.

"You have to retrieve something Shockwave?" Asked the Prime as she landed on his shoulder pad.

"We need to find a relic and that's it." Just then the tracker picked up a signal. Which led to a big spacious cave entrance. Shockwave looked at the Prime, while Firestar looked at him back as he walked into the cave entrance. Cave exploration wasn't the Prime's thing, since she did it so many times as a free Autobot. But if she was assigned to do it, she will do it gladly since she was raised to respect her father that gave her the task. Ten minutes passed until the tracker picked up the same signal but stronger.

"We must be close." Said Shockwave, as he brought the tracker near the stone walls to see if the relic was there. The Prime looked around in case danger comes out of nowhere and attacks Shockwave since she small to see at a first glance. The tracker picked up the signal again as Shockwave started digging. Just as he started digging Firestar had a feeling go through her as she heard a crack from afar, as someone stepped on a twig or stick. Shockwave stopped digging, he looked around before extending his servo for the Prime to climb on. He gently placed her where he made a hole so that she could stand there.

"Can you keep digging, while I investigate this illogical sound?" The Prime nodded, as Shockwave went to investigate the sound as she began to dig. Firestar was able to find the object and shrunk it to fit in her human hands. Not after hearing a gunshot she wrapped her tail around the object to investigate where that came from. Firestar jumped off the hole and landed on her fours on the ground. It didn't take for her to find Shockwave and see his situation, he was in a servo-to-servo combat with an insecticon. The Prime held on to the object tightly around her tail as she began to run on the stone walls. She had to find the perfect position to attack this bug con's helm. Firestar did a sharp turn towards the ground and launched herself away from the rocks as her servos became like talons, sharp and long. She got ahold of the con's head before doing a flip and yanked it clean off it shoulders. The Prime threw the helm at the rocks as she transformed into her cybertronian form before landing on her two legs with the relic transforming into its full form.

"You ok Shockwave?" Asked the Prime also took a glance at the ancient object if it is still in one piece. The scientist con nodded his helm until the two bots heard scratching noises.

"We better get moving." Said Shockwave, as they speeded and walked where they came from. Another insecticon blocked their path of escape this one looked a bit bigger than the one they encounter earlier. Shockwave stretched out his left arm to back up Firestar as more insecticon came from behind surrounding them. The Prime and Shockwave were now back to back and with no escape. They looked at each other and nod their helms in agreement as the Prime got into a quick sprint before jumping into the air and transforming into her human form. She fought a little better and stealthier in her human form than in cybertronain form.
