Chapter 13: Tension

"I thought I knew who you were Shockwave..." Ratchet said, as he stood by the pond and look out the window the pond contacted with. Shockwave walked up to him and stood next to him and looked at the clear night sky.

"But seeing you have so much care and hate to say it love in your spark for her..." He said as both of them turned to face the sleeping prime on the berth before Ratchet turn to face him. "Changed my perspective. I didn't want to believe you when you told me back on the nemesis because I had this thought, this perspective of you that you were sparkless and incapable of love. But Firestar does have a way of bringing out the best of a cybertronian or person. Now im going to get some recharge for tomorrow we go to the Autobot's base." Ratchet said as he smiled at him, Shockwave flicked his antennas back as Ratchet made his way further into the cave to find a spot to fall into stasis Shockwave walked up to the berth Firestar was resting and laid down. Firestar woke up in the middle of the night, due to a killer pain in her abdomen. She only knew one thing as she quietly got out of the berth, trying not to wake her sparkmate, and headed towards her pond. Her pond glistened with the moonlight coming through the window. The Prime enjoyed the night sky and the moon whenever she sat at her pond, but tonight wasn't a night to view the sky. Firestar sat down facing the window and took deep breaths. When she was younger she always watched movies for some reason, had women giving birth always screamed, like why.

"Why are you awake Firestar?" Asked her sparkmate who was half awake and half asleep when he walked over to her. He took a seat next to her in the pond and looked at the view ahead.

"Just pain in my abdomen, that's all." She said as she took a couple more breaths. The scientist nodded his head and then realize what was going on.

"Wait! now!?" He was shocked, the Prime nodded as she pushed. Shockwave didn't how to act or handle the situation, but he did know to go find Ratchet. He found him in his vehicle deep in stasis, Ratchet was about to go off to Shockwave on why he woke him up but he dragged him to the pond for Ratchet to see Firestar has gone to labor. He rushed towards her and position himself by her legs.

"Alrighty, lets deliver this sparkling." Said Ratchet as Firestar was glade he was here it put her mind at ease as she felt her sparkmate's servo in her own.

"Ok, you are doing amazing. No screaming or yelling that's good. Just......you are doing fine." He didn't know what else to say. He didn't want to overwhelm her or say the obvious. Firestar giggled over his thoughts, she let out a few pushes. There was no why she was going to yell. She didn't want to be like those mothers who screamed.

"Come on a few more pushes Star. I know you have it in you." Ratchet said as Firestar made a face as she filled herself with ultimate power. She gasped when she felt the sparkling pop out, as Ratchet scooped her out of the water and did a small check-up before handing Firestar her sparkling. The Prime was speechless when she first saw her daughter, Shockwave's optic glowed with glee.

"She is beautiful, just like you." Said the scientist, as he gave her a peck on the cheek Firestar only tea up when she opened her optics, one optic was blue like hers and one was red like her father. She had wings and a tail like her mother's.

"She has the best of both worlds Shockwave." The only thing he could do was nod. His antennas perked up as the sparkling raised her little arms.

"You want to hold her now?"

"Is that even a logical question right now my Star?" The Prime handed the sparkling in her father's arm. The sparkling wrapped her tail around her father's arm and smiled at the sight of him.
