chapter 3

E L S A

mary took me up to my room and dressed me in my pajamas. my parents came in with anna and laid her down in her bed. they kissed her forehead. they walked over to me. "elsa, who was that boy you were dancing with?" my father asked sitting on the edge of my bed. "his name is jack. i met him in the town square earlier today... we are bestfriends." i smiled. my mom was rubbing my back. "jack... do you know his last name?" i shook my head as my mom kissed my forehead. my father nodded and got up kissing my forhead as well.

they left the room, and mary fallowed after them. i soon fell asleep..

J A C K

i stayed up again as i herd my parents fighting over the way i acted. i felt tears leave my eyes. i whipped them away, and turned in my bed.

it wasnt pleasant to hear a door slam and my mom crying. i closed my eyes trying to forget about it. but my thoughts went to elsa, and how she looked tonight. i didnt know what it meant but my heart fluttered. i sighed and remembered her eyes sparkeling. she is my best friend. and no one will hurt her.

i soon fell asleep

"jack!" elsa called. she took my hand and smiled at me pointing to my parents. "look, they stopped fighting." she smiled. i smiled back and my parents opened up their arms. Elsa let go of my hand and i ran to my parents. i looked back at elsa and saw her disappear into the darkness. thats when my parents started fighting again. i ran into the darkness, further and further.... trying to get away from it.

E L S A

i woke up to see my parents walk in the room. "elsa dear," my mom started. "We would like you to not see that jack boy anymore." I looked at them with a tear in my eye "what?" my mom sighed and put a hand on my shoulder. "it's for the best. elsa we can't have you getting feelings for him. he is indeed a peasant. it is against the rules to date someone who isn't from royalty." I scowled at my mother. "who says I love/ like him! he is a friend! can't you grant me the wish of seeing him?!" my mother and father shook their heads and walked out of the room.

Mary walked in shortly after and undressed me from my pajamas. She placed me into a fancy dress. "whats the occasion for this time?" I asked her. "your mother and father have invited all of the princes to come and play with you." I groaned. "I don't want a play date with princes. I want one with Jack! Frost started crawling up on the floor. it stopped short creating a small circle around me.

"Elsa understand its not my decision. they want to plan a marriage for you." the frost grew a bit bigger. Mary wasn't at all startled by my powers. she zipped up my dress and walked out of the room. I walked over to the large window in my room. I saw jack down below looking at flowers. I cracked the window open and yelled his name. he looked up and waved. I signaled him over and he walked below my window. "yes!" he yelled. I looked below and I saw a window there. "Hold on!" I shouted back. I closed the window and ran down the stairs into the basement.

I saw jack through one of the windows and opened it. "jack," I whispered. He kneeled and smiled at me. "yes?" I smiled back. "Hi." he rolled his eyes. "hello princess." he smirked. "hey jack, my parents talked to me this morning." he nodded. "they don't want us to hang out any more." I looked at the stone window sill. "how come?" I shrugged. "they said its inappropriate." i saw jacks hands ball up in fists. "but we're best friends." I nodded. "I know..." I sighed.

"Well then... we will just have to talk and hang out here. I can come to this window everyday and meet you at around the same time." I smiled and nodded. I looked towards the harbor and saw princes getting off boats. "I have to go jack. maybe you can come by later tonight?" jack nodded and ran off. "bye Elsa!" he waved, and bumped into a woman. she scolded him and I giggled.

"Elsa!" I herd my mother call. I closed the window and ran up the stairs to be met by hundreds of 11-12 year old princes.
