Chapter 5
I was enjoying watching the movie in Louis arms. I felt safe there. I looked up just in time to see him rolling his eyes. That made me disappointed, one of my favorite movies and he didn't enjoy it. He must have had noticed that I was staring at him with a bit of a sad face. "No babe, I swear I like it, it's just...," Louis was trying to defend him self for a lost cause. I laid my head on his chest. "Louis, the movies almost over please just watch the rest with me?" I asked. I didn't even have to look at him to know the he was frowning and I also heard a sign. He got up from my bed and headed out of my room. I rolled my eyes, what could I expect. I swear he had the same mentality as my brother, if he didn't like something he'd just go.
The movie ended within 30 minuets of Louis leaving the room. I wasn't sure where or what he was doing. I got up to go find him, but as soon as I stood my head started pounding and I felt nauseous. I immediately ran to the bathroom. I had to run into the hallway to get to the bathroom. I caught a quick glance at Louis sitting at my table. When I reached the bathroom I slammed the door and knelt by toilet.
"Kalel," Louis asked worriedly," are...are you alright?" Right after that I started throwing up. I started getting the cold sweats. After about 30 seconds of being leaned over the toilet, I threw my self against the ground. My back was propped up by the tub. I was breathing hard. Then I heard a knock on the door. Louis opened the door and peered in on me with a worried look and in that moment I felt myself pass out.
Louis POV
I heard Kalel slam the door to bathroom. That made me wonder why so I started making my way over to the bathroom. Right when I reached the door I heard noises coming from the other side of the door. After I heard the noise go away I slowly opened the door and peeked my head in. "Kalel, are...are you alright?" I asked. She only looked up at me before she passed out.
"Crap!" I practically screamed. I rushed over and scooped up her limp body. Felt my keys in my pocket so I headed towards the front door. I had also kept the spare key she had told me about on her kitchen counter. Running, I picked up those keys and opened the door. As it closed I shoved the keys into the lock to lock the door. It was almost a challenge on some game show that you'd have to run down stairs with a limp body without falling.
Some how I had made it without dropping her. That's the last thing that I would want to do to her, hurt her. I got to my car and gently set her down in the back seat of my car. I hopped into the driver seat and started driving to a near by hospital. I had no idea what to do or if she was okay.
"Can I help you sir?" The receptionist asked me. She was to laid back for my situation. "Uh...sh-she passed out aft-after throwing up," I rushed saying. It was surprising that she even understood anything I spit out. She reached over to a phone and dialed a few numbers. I looked down at Kalel, it was reassuring to see her chest rise and fall with her breath. I pushed her brown curly hair out of her face, so I could study her features even more. After a few more minuets a nurse appeared with a stretcher. I laid Kalel down on it and they took her away. "Please go take a seat in the lobby," the lady said. I didn't even acknowledge her as I went to sit down.
I had been sitting there for about an hour twiddling my thumbs. Then I heard the same nurse start talking to me. "Kalel is doing just fine, it was just a freak thing but she is ready to be taken home anytime your ready. Please follow me," he said in a cheery voice. This time the sound of a happy voice was comforting. I followed the nurse to the room were I saw Kalel sitting up, her brown eyes focused on me as I walked in. She smiled.
"Lou, thanks for taking care of me," she said as she blushed and looked down. I walked over to sit in a chair next to her. I put my hand on top of hers. "Your welcome love," I replied and I saw her cheeks even more flushed now. A doctor walked in and gave me the estament, I was surprised at how little it would cost. He also said the final statement would be arriving in a week or so. I thanked the doctor and helped Kalel out of her bed. She was still a little unstable so I quickly grabbed her waist with one hand and with the other moved left arm over my shoulder.
I walked her out of the hospital like this till we got to my car. I opened the door and helped her get in. We were soon on our way out of the parking lot. We rode in silence for most of the ride. I decide to take her to my place so I could make sure she would be okay. "Where are we going?" She asked turning towards me. "My place," I said in a monotone voice but my voice soon lightened,"I need to keep an eye on you." She nodded sheepishly and with that leaned her head against the glass of the window.
