I woke up at four in the morning with a bad dream. Ugh, it's Wednesday. I checked the phone I didn't even need and saw I had a text. It was Chris Johnson, who made my fake I.D and then someone I bumped into at a club that same day a few months ago.
Hope u still got that fake I.D. The crew planning to party tonight. U in Scarlett Alvernaz?
I replied:
Eh depends Mike Rodney. U buying me a drink? If not you won't have a chance to see me in those jeans you adore so much.
Mmm you got me there FeFe. Just say yes ill pick u up at 8
*sigh* where to meet u?
*wraps arms around waist* end of your street
*turns to face you and wraps arms around your neck* save me a dance?
if you wish...
ok
see u tonight then ;)
I rolled my eyes, putting my phone back on the nightstand. Stretching, I sat up, inspecting my room for an intruder. God, this is why I needed someone to sleep with me.
Vrr. Vrr. More messages. This time from Dylan Sanders, Chris's partner in crime.
I heard the good news u kickin it wit us tonight! turn up!

Okay, so maybe I liked Chris a little. But he was one of my best guy friends. I couldn't ruin it by us dating. I mean, when we were drunk we did some things, no sex or whatever, but that was it. Nothing more.

I put my phone back on the nightstand and got out of bed. Opening my curtains, I looked out my window into the dark neighborhood. A few lights were on, adults getting ready to start their work day. I couldn't wait until I was an adult. I'd finally be able to take care of myself and not have to worry about anyone else. Well, maybe my husband and kids, if it ever gets to that point, but other than that, no one. Freedom! Adults always say it's so much harder than being an kid or a teenager, it really looks quite easy. So yeah, there's bills and food and jobs and all, but other than that, I think being an adult is the easiest part of life.
