A Graceful Melody (An EXO Fanfiction)

Chapter 6

Ariel wakes up when the car comes to a stop, and sees the dorm through the tinted glass. She looks around in the car, and sees both Kimberly and Charlene are asleep. Feeling a bit more energy in her body, she shakes both of her friends awake and they wake up.

"Are you okay now?" Kimberly mumbles, wiping the sleep from her eyes and looking at her friend. Ariel nods, giving a smile, Kimberly notices her face only got paler and her eyes turning from brown to auburn. She doesn't say anything, and turns to Charlene.

"Good, Charles, wake up. We are back at the dorm." Kimberly says, shaking Charlene who chose to go back to sleep in the car.

"Fine, but I'm hungry. What can we eat?" Charlene asks, Ariel and Kimberly getting out of the car, Charlene following, and then going inside.

When they walk into the living room, the lights are turned off, and when Ariel turns them on, she is surprised by a group of boys, all except Luhan, Kai, and Sehun. She hides behind Kimberly, and she moves out of the way so the boys are able to see her.

They congratulate Charlene and Kimberly, hugging them and telling them how well they did. Completely ignoring Ariel, she walks over to the door of the music room and slams it, locking it behind her.

She falls down the door, not even bothering to turn on the lights. Small tears dripping from her eyes, her whimpers being heard from outside of the room, but nobody bothers to go and check on her. Ariel's tears are hot, and burn down her face leaving streak marks from where they slid.

Sehun, Kai, and Luhan walk in through the door and see their friends congratulating Kimberly and Charlene, but Ariel is nowhere to be found.

"Guys.... Where is Ariel?" Sehun says, silence filling the room enough to be able to hear crying from behind a door. Sehun runs around the room, listening in for the cries.

Walking over to the room he hears the whining coming from the loudest, he knocks on the door, only to get a loud bang from the other side as a response.

"Ariel, let me in please. " Sehun begs, knocking on the door once more. The dorm becomes silent, everyone listening to Sehun and Ariel's discussion.

"Go away, everyone, just leave me alone." Ariel whispers, her voice low and soft.

"No, I'm not leaving you alone." Sehun says, sitting down in front of the door with his back against it.

"Go away, Sehun." Ariel mumbles, Sehun refuses and crosses his arms stubbornly.

"I'm not coming out until you move, Sehun." Ariel says, her voice in a threatening state.

"Then we have a problem, I'm not moving until you open this door." Sehun says, Ariel unlocking the door then hitting it against his head before shutting it and locking it once more.

"OWW! Jesus Ariel, I'm just trying to help you! It isn't my fault I was late to your damn concert, it isn't my fault your fucking friends hate me, and it isn't my fault when you don't want me to help you!" Sehun says, standing up and screaming through the door. Ariel becomes silent on the other side of the door.

I'm such a brat, Ariel thought, I may as well just give up. There is no way I will win, so whatever. 

Ariel stands up and opens the door, to see a mad Sehun on the other side. She waits, to see what he thinks of her now. Her eyes are now a pale blue, and her hair is a darker shade of black, her skin as pale as snow. 

"Do you feel happy now, Oh Sehun? I'm not beautiful anymore. Your friends didn't congratulate me when I walked in the door, it's because I'm turning into what I've felt about myself for many years. Ugly. " Ariel says, looking up at Sehun who looks down at her then hugs her.
