The Wedding...

"Ow! Ariel, stop.. It's too tight!" I cry, holding my dress up with one hand and the other on my hip. Ariel shakes her head, and loosens the strings on the back.

"Oh my lord, you can survive cuts and gashes from a hunter, get stabbed, and still fight but you can't survive your own wedding dress? Give me a break, girl. Now, hold your breath one more time. One... Two... Three. Now." Ariel says, as I suck in air and then feel the laces around my back and waist tighten. Ariel laces them up quickly, and then lets go.

I breath, and feel the restriction against my stomach and chest. I take a few deep breaths and get use to the sudden change. I look around at Ariel, to see she has a small crown and my veil in her hands. I lean down, and she puts it on my head.

"Now, go look in the mirror." Ariel says, pointing to the large mirror in the back of the room. I walk to it, my heels clanging on the wooden floors as I approach the mirror with a smile on my face.

The dress is a long, perfectly white dress with sequenced diamonds on the bodice. On the top, there is a part where it curves up and goes around the neck with a tie in the front, with the loops laying on the knot. The crown is small, small enough that it looks more like an accessory than part of the whole outfit itself.

"So... pretty.." I whisper, touching the skin on my face softly, and then looking over my whole gown once more.

"You are, Luhan is going to be breathless." Ariel says, grabbing her bouquet and mine and then handing me my bouquet. I nod, and feel my stomach start to turn and do flips.

Luhan, what will he think? Will…. Would… he be ready for marriage? Would he… be ready for a family if I wanted one? I bite my lips a little, before seeing Ariel’s hand in my face. She snaps her fingers, and I look up at my friend with confusion.

“Kimberly, your music is going to start in two minutes. We have to hurry!” Ariel says, opening the door and putting her hand out.

I went out of the room, Ariel going behind me to pick up my veil as I walk out of the room and then coming in front of two large doors with a bunch of noise and talking coming from behind. Both in Korean and English. She looks around, to see her other friend in the same dress as Ariel is.

Charlene and Ariel wore floor length,  lilac dresses with white flower necklaces hanging down from their necks.

My father comes out from the side, along with Kai and Sehun, and he holds his arm out to me. Kai and Sehun do the same to Charlene and Ariel, and I take my father’s arm with a smile. I look up at him, and he has the look of love, yet sadness in his eyes.

“My baby has grown up. Felt like yesterday when I helped you shift into a wolf at eight, and now I’m handing you off to your mate and future husband. Wow, you’ve changed from a little girl, to a young woman.” My father explains, kissing my temple. I smile, and nod.

“Kamsahmnida, Father. For everything.” I say, before the two big doors open and soft music of the trio plays out. Charlene and Kai walk out first, followed by Ariel and Sehun.

When it’s finally my turn, everyone stands. Me and my father walk down the aisle, towards twelve boys and my two best friends in the whole world. They smile at me, but the only one I look at, is Luhan’s. His hair was dyed light brown, almost blonde but still brown, and his black tuxedo makes him look like a man.

As me and my father approach the alter, Luhan offers his arm. When I reach for it, letting go of my father’s, I feel a slight tug at my arm. I look back at my dad, and see his eyes are saying ‘I don’t want to let go’. Everyone in the room laughs, and I smile softly.

“It’s alright, dad. Luhan won’t hurt me.” I say, and he smiles and lets go of my hand.

I take Luhan’s hand, and we smile at each other before giving the pastor our attention. Everyone in the seats behind us sit down.

“We are gathered here to celebrate the love, and strength of these two people here before us. The groom has prepared his vows,  Luhan please recite your vows.” The pastor says, as Luhan turns and faces me with soft eyes.

“Kimberly, I am a member of EXO. EXO is a famous group, with money, fans, and anything we could want. Every time we had a concert, I...would look out into the crowd and not make eye contact with anyone in particular. You know, after doing just that a few more times, I was starting to think I had little to no hope for love. I felt my heart slowly closing off from everyone, until I met you. That one day, awoke my sleeping heart, and I have never felt more happy. Anytime I was my happiest, it was with you. Every time I felt embarrassed, mostly, it was with you when my friends chose to tell stories about me.” The crowd laughs and his face turns pink a bit, “But, it never stopped me from loving you more and more each day. I finally saved up enough of my personal money to buy you this ring, and when you accepted, I thought my heart was going to explode. So, Kimberly, will you become my wife?” Luhan asks, taking a ring from XiuMin, the ring bearer and his best friend. He puts it up to my hand, holding it softly in his and holding the ring just before my finger.

“Ne, Luhan. I will be your wife.” I respond, taking the last ring from XiuMin and then hovering over Luhan’s finger.

“Luhan, would you be my husband?” I ask, looking him in his eyes.

“Ne, I will be your husband, love.” Luhan answers, and I place the ring around his finger and the pastor nods.

“I now pronounce you two lovebirds, husband and wife! You may now kiss your bride, Luhan.” Luhan leans in and kisses me softly, and I kiss him back.

The audience claps, there are cries of happiness and sadness. The cries of happiness from family and friends, and then the cries of sadness coming from crying fan girls.

To be honest though, if this wasn’t me getting married to Luhan, I would cry too.

Final epilogue coming soon.
