Basically, Tom was right about Kayley getting back in a jiffy. Not that it really made me so damn happy since she was still in her bitchy self.

"Where were you?" I asked her out of curiosity.

"For the hundredth time, it's none of your fucking business." See what I mean about beiang her bitchy self?

"Aren't you worried about Drew?" I was a bit surprised when I heard that coming out of my mouth. I didn't have any plan in opening that subject but I still went on, "It's not his fault that you were dating his best friend."

"So, it's my fault. I know, Luanne. No need to tell it in front of my face." Shit, why did she have to be so -- yup, I couldn't find the right word.

"That's not what I mean." I took a deep breath. "You can't blame him for that. It's your boyfriend's fault, not Drew's."

"I'm not blaming him, you know. I was just in shock and depressed at that moment."

Tom had told us that he had been receiving calls from Drew but the guy never speaks up.

"I really hope this running away stuffs will stop." I said and immediately felt guilty when I saw the change in Kayley's expression.

"We need to find him." Tom said, echoing our thoughts.

"But she needs to stay." I said, motioning towards Kayley. "You need rest."

"Rest? I've been pinning my butt on my bed for the entire week. For once, can you just stop making me feel like a black sheep and let me join you. I'm trying to be nice here." Kayley said.

"Fine. But what about Dad and Katy? They'll be worried as hell."

"Maybe we can leave a letter? A message that we'll be gone for awhile?" I suggested. But obviously, they both didn't consider it.

"Writing a letter. Classic." Kayley said and Tom hid his laugh with a cough. How I hated him at that moment. The amusement went away from Kayley's face and was replaced by unsual seriousness she seldom wears. "We need to find Drew. Let's tell them that we'll be out for vacation. In that case, we will have the cash we need."

"Vacation. Classic." Tom said, mimicking Kayley. "You really think they're going to buy that? Come on, Kayley, they'll be persuading in coming along."

"Trust me. That's one thing that I'm very good at." Kayley smiled and winked at us, which was really a weird thing to do.

A lot of changes has been happening lately and Kayley being in our team was one of those.
