Chapter 21 : Boxing Day

December 26th 2014

Jayce's POV

The title of this day is deceiving, "Boxing Day" you would think that people Box but it's just the day after Christmas, when all of the sales go on. Luckily Shay didn't want to go shopping today she just wanted to have some alone time and for me to meet her new horses Prissy and Daps. Honestly I'm always going to love Rocky more than her horses but I gotta be happy for her. She said that at her lesson on the 19th she had met this girl named Bree, apparently she was really nice and owned her own horse named Luke. He was a bay like Rocky, but I was kinda surprised to hear that Shayla had actually found someone who was nice to her. Apparently there meeting up tomorrow but enough of thinking, my head is starting to hurt and I'm only a quarter of the way done the day. Turning down Shays drive way I noticed that She was already outside grooming down her horse Willow. Never to less she is always going to love Willow more than any other horse because she helped her through a rough time.

Hopping out of the truck I went over to Shay and grabbed her ass from behind, she seemed to be enjoying it until she said something that went along the lines like

"Easy big fella it's not just us today" wait what did I hear her correctly.

"Did you just say what I think you said" I questioned shocked, today was our day.

"Yes, Bree is coming with us and she is going to ride Willow because for a certain fact I haven't ridden Prissy yet and Daps is too green" she said happily. How can she be happy, it's support to be our day.

"Fine but I want some alone time at some point today" i said grabbing her ass for the second time. It's just irresistible. Literally it's so just awesome.

Shayla's POV

What was with Jayce grabbing my ass? Fuck he is driving me insane but I love him to death, grabbing his hand I led him into the barn to meet Daps. Let's just say there was a accident last night which led him to be put in here. Once he had met Daps I led him outside but he seemed more excited about seeing Rocky then Prissy. Not like I cared, going up to Prissy I grabbed her halter then led her over to where Jayce was having complications with catching Rocky. After trying to catch Rocky for a while I finally gave up and bribed him with a treat. Shortly after leading the two horses into the front to tack up Bree showed up.

"Hey, you can ride the white one over there, if you want Western or English. All of her tack is in the barn and I've already brushed her" I said with a smile to her.

"Alright" she said back kinda nervously.

After brushing the horses and tacking up we all mounted, me especially careful as I've never ridden Prissy. After walking for about an hour we where all at Red Lodge and we stopped there. After letting the horses drink we all raced back to the house and soon enough Bree had headed home.

Me and Jayce where having some fun in the hay loft when we heard someone shuffling around I the barn so we both went downstairs only to find Bree.

"Hey what's up" I said, her brown hair falling on the stall door.

"I just wasn't ready to leave" she said trying to cover something up.

"Bree" I said walking over to her only to realize she had tears running out of her green eyes.

"Tell me" I said while letting her have a moment to breath

"My my Mom just called and said my old horse Candyman passed away" she muffled out while putting her head in my shoulder

"Oh my gosh, I'm sorry so sorry" I said in a whisper to her.

"I had to tell you, I don't know what it is but I just had to tell you" she said quietly, her once clean looking face had turned into streaks from her eyeliner and mascara.

"I totally understand, I still remember that day" I said looking at daps.

"But but how" she said muffled

"Mi Missy" I said quietly almost to myself

"Oh my gosh, what happened" she said very quietly

"She she was lame and the owner out her out of her misery" I said a tear rolling down my face. After that Emma told me she couldn't handle Willow being there and that's when my parents got a raise.

"Oh my gosh that's exactly how Candyman died" she said looking stunned

"Maybe it's better, who knows maybe there making a foal right now" I said giving a weak smile.

Then there was a new voice, Jayce's

"I'm just gonna head out Shay, it's best that you and Bree have some alone time" he said giving me a weak smile.

"Alright baby I love you" I said while giving him a quick kiss. Walking over to Bree again I decided that what she needed right now was me and I needed her so I asked her

"Have a sleepover" I said

"Yeah, maybe tomorrow we can work with Daps a little" she said happier

"Why not now" I sisd even happier.

"Yah, why not" she said back with a big grin. Tonight was gonna be better than I thought.
