Chapter 22: Happy New Years

December 31st 2014

Shayla's POV

Tonight is new years and today is my uncles birthday so I'm going out to my Aunts, my Dad said that the children might want so called "pony" rides. The only horse I have that is actually kinds short is Willow, other than that they all seem like draft horses to me. Me well I'm only 5'6 and Jayce is 6'4, I bet your wondering how do you kiss him? The trick to it is that he bends down and I tipsy toe up. Other wise we wouldn't be able to kiss. The cold water started to hit me and I knew I needed to get out of the shower, after drying myself off I wrapped a towel around my hair and body then walked to my room. After blow drying my hair I put on my jeans and colourful long sleeved top then proceeded to flat iron my head. Before I left my room I put on some mascara and called it good, walking downstairs I realized that I had left my shoes in my room so I had to go back upstairs to grab the red flats. Going back downstairs I picked up my purse, the house keys and the keys to my newest Christmas present a Mazda Pursuit. Walking outside I locked the door waved goodbye to my horses and jumped in the grey device. Starting the car I started my way to my lovely boyfriends house, he was coming to the new year party so I had to go pick him up.

After driving cross country for about 15 minutes I had arrived at Jayce's house and was currently going to honk the horn when Jayce magically was in the passenger seat. This was the first time my Papa Molyneux was going to meet Jayce and I'm really worried about what he will say when he sees that we are Engaged. Driving frantically through the back country we finally had arrived at my Auntie Kathy's house around 30 minutes later. Throwing the car into park I slowly got out and closed the door then locked the car. Wrapping my hand around Jayce's hand we both walked up to the door then I threw a knock at it. After waiting for a couple seconds my crazy auntie Kathy was throwing her arms around me in a hug so I threw my arms around her. I introduced Jayce to my auntie Kathy then soon enough we where face to face with my papa. "So good to see you" I said wrapping my arms around his neck to embrace him in a hug.

"So who's this fella" my papa said kinda suspicious

"He's my fiancé" I said back encouragingly

"Ahh okay, well welcome to the family son" he said taking Jayce's hand so he could shake it. Wow that went way better than expected.

"How long have you guys been together" my papa asked kindly

"2 years and 2 months" I said back happily

"That's good, well it looks like a few other people are wanting to say hi to me so I better go" he said while motioning to all the people waiting.

"Alright" I said while waving it off. Walking over to my uncle Duane he threw me into a bear hug and before I knew it it felt like I was being suffocated.

"Eighhhh take it easy" I said kinda sarcastically.

"alright, and who's this guy" he said eyeing Jayce.

"My Fiancé, Jayce" I said happily back while I felt Jayce's arm wrap around me.

"Alright, don't get her pregnant bud" he sisd back sarcastically while walking away.

"This is easier then I thought" I said happily to Jayce

"yah luckily" he said.

Soon enough our supper was made and everyone was chatting off there mouths and stuffing there mouths with food. After dinner we all piled into the living room and I felt all eyes on me for a explanation of who the guy was.

"Alright geez" I said nervously

"This is Jayce, me and him met 2 years and 2 months ago and a week later he was basically pleading for me to be his girlfriend so I accepted and 2 months ago, a week after my 16th birthday Jayce asked me to marry him and I gladly accepted" I said trying to make it funny

" that's awesome" everyone was saying and congratulating me. Wow I thought everyone would be like "ugh so stupid" but it was the opposite.

Soon enough the night had wized by and it was 1 minute away from the count down and soon enough we where all chanting

"3-2-1 HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!" Even Jayce joined In on it.

After about 15 minutes I started to yawn so me and Jayce said bye to everyone and headed back to my place. Jayce picked me up and carried me upstairs then we started to make out and soon enough we where having our own way.
