jungkook
"it's not that he doesn't speak, he just refuses to." jungkook's mom said to the school counselor. jungkook, his mom and the school counselor were sitting in a room, applying jungkook to his new school, entering the 11th grade.
"he, doesn't speak?" his mom nodded. "he won't speak, there's only certain people he will talk to, and you can't force him to speak. if you do, he gets angry or upset." his mom explained. the school consular wrote that down.
"do you want me to put him into special need's classes?" the consular, mrs.kim asked. jungkook looked up at his seat and his eyes widened. "no no that's not needed." mrs.jeon assured. "just make sure jungkookie doesn't get like, like pressured to answer things in class, like if a teacher calls on him-without raising his hand, because he won't answer."
mrs.kim nodded, and turned to her computer. "i will talk to all the teachers to make sure to fit jungkook's desires in with their teaching." she said as she typed away into her computer. "thank you so much, mrs.kim." mrs.jeon thanked.
"so, can you tell me more about jungkook's, mute-ness?" she asked, turning around in her chair. jungkook sighed, and looked away. he hates when people are talking about him right in front of him, but he has no choice. if people want to know about him, they have to ask his mom, if shes there. if not, he just looses another chance of making a friend, and walks away.
"well, when he was a child, he never really spoke either. he was always to himself, did everything by himself, and he liked it that way. me and my husband don't have such a great relationship with him, only because when he was younger he never spoke. he's a really nice kid, like he just gives off a nice vibe. but, if he speaks to you, you sure are a lucky person, because, like i said-"
"he never speaks." mrs.kim smiled. "yeah." jungkook's mom smiled.
"okay, well, it was nice meeting you jungkook," mrs.kim smiled, standing up from her seat. "i will look forward to seeing you in school on tuesday." jungkook nodded, stood up and walked out of the room.

"do you want to go out for lunch?" jungkook shrugged. they walked out of the school. jungkook was confused by the temperature change. it was surely warmer outside an hour ago. jungkook sat in the front seat of their car, and brought out his phone. he immediately began to mute out his mom's words as she non stopped talking. he hated that his mom lied to the counselor, about him being nice. he can be nice, but the only words he's ever said to his mother say was when he was cussing her out for being in trouble or telling her to shut up or leave him alone. he is not a nice kid, but he's only like that at times.
"jungkook!" his mom shouted, finally gaining his attention. "do you want the regular from burger king?" she asked, and jungkook nodded, bringing his gaze back to his phone. before his eyes locked on his phone, he saw group of boys sitting at a table outside, chatting away happily. but there was this one boy that caught his gaze- he had ruffled light orange hair and brown eyes, and whenever he smiled his lips turned into a box shaped form. he studied him slyly, how he spoke, how he ate, the way he laughed or frowned. he thought the boy was cute, but his behavior was different from the other boys he sat with. maybe like he got distracted easily, he would always be fidgeting or he would be acting, weird. despite his weird behavior, jungkook thought the boy was cute, and different from anyone he has ever seen. looks wise and behavior wise. but jungkook was suddenly pulled out of his thoughts when his mom handed him a bag of food.
jungkook stuffed his nose inside the bag, and smelled everything with a big inhale. "jungkook!" his mom laughed, and he giggled and put the bag back onto his lap as he smiled cutely. at least, he thinks he's cute. he looked back out the window to see the orange haired boy stand up with his friends and walk towards the inside of burger king, which resulted them going past jungkook's car, receiving a smile from the boy. jungkook blushed and smiled back at the boy, but suddenly notice his figure get smaller as he realized his mom started driving. he sighed, knowing he will never see the boy again, even though he knew he wouldn't have interacted, since he prefers to stay mute.
jungkook stole a fry from the bag, but gasped quietly when he felt the hot once potato touch his tongue, probably burning the end of his taste buds off.
"are the fries hot?" his mom asked, and jungkook nodded, and his mom laughed. "here, i got you a pepsi too." she handed him a large styrofoam cup. jeez, is she trying to kill me? he thought. he laughed at his own thought, gaining a weird look from his mom. once the car stopped in their driveway, jungkook jumped out and immediately ran inside. he took off his timberlands and put them next to his book bag on the floor in his room. he slipped off his jeans and put on more comfortable pants, but kept his white tee shirt on.
he walked back into the kitchen and smiled widely as he saw his food ready for him to eat.
