jungkook woke up to the smell of something burning, his eyes shot open quickly, being blinded by the sunlight that shot through the basement windows. he was confused on where he was at first, but remembered he was at namjoon's. he sat up quickly, causing the boy next to him to jump.
"jesus jungkook, you scared me." jungkook flinched at the voice, not even noticing taehyung was sitting beside him. he gave him a sympathetic look before sniffing the air again.
"namjoon burnt the pancakes again." taehyung chuckled. the younger was quite surprised hearing taehyung's voice, he realized his voice is very deeper when he wakes up.
jungkook stretched, then checked the time on his phone. the time said 9:24 a.m., and that was far too early for jungkook, but his eyes widened once he saw the thousands of text messages from his mom. he quickly texted his mom,a quick 'sorry'. he knew that would piss his mom off, but he's too tired to care or write a long paragraph explaining where he was and why he wasn't answering. he groaned, and put his phone on his stomach, falling backwards landing his head on a pillow.
"everyone else is awake and upstairs, namjoon's parents left this morning so it's just us. your mom doesn't mind right?" the orange boy poked the younger's arm until he replied. he nodded, and taehyung grabbed onto jungkook's wrist and pulled him up as he stood up, "lets go upstairs!" jungkook groaned, but walked sleepily up the hardwood stairs with the older, the smell of burnt pancakes getting worse.
he soon heard jin's voice, scolding namjoon for what he did, and as they reached the kitchen they saw smoke in the room and namjoon wearing a pink apron and a chefs hat, jin standing next to him and hoseok sitting alone at the table.
"where's jimin and yoongi?" taehyung asked hoseok, and he pointed to the living room. taehyung walked to the living room, jungkook following. he faintly smiled at the sight he saw, yoongi laying on the couch with his eyes closed and jimin on top of him, his face in the crook of his neck and his arms around his shoulders and legs on either side of yoongi. it's a cute sight, and not to lie, jungkook wanted a cute relationship like that.
he's always wanted a cute relationship with a boy before, where they'd cuddle and go out together and share hugs and kisses and be close to each other, but a part of him always knew he'd never get that, because people won't even be his friend, let alone a boyfriend. he sighed at the thought, and taehyung looked at him, before dragging him back into the kitchen.
"joonie i'm hungry~" taehyung whined. jungkook sat down at the table next to hoseok who was playing a game on his phone. he scooted closer and watched him silently.
"yeah joonie i'm hungry too." jin tapped the wooden spoon in his hand on namjoon's shoulder.
"i burnt the pancakes- why don't we go out for breakfast?" he suggested. taehyung's face lit up, but then frowned. "what about yoongi and jimin? they're sleeping and in a such cute position too. plus no one should ever wake up yoongi." namjoon chuckled, and walked away from the stove and into the living room. he was expecting the boys to be sleeping like taehyung said, but they were making out on the couch with yoongi's finger's in jimin's hair and jimin's hands all over yoongi's body.
namjoon cleared his throat, and the boys stopped what they were doing. "um we're going out for breakfast, so um, yeah." he then walked out and rubbed his eyes. taehyung then received a light smack on his arm. "you told me they were sleeping!"namjoon groaned, and taehyung's frowned. "they were when me and kookie went out there- what were they doing?" "making out." namjoon rolled his eyes.
taehyung chuckled, and namjoon sighed. "put on your shoes guys, we're going." jin directed. everyone headed downstairs and put on their shoes, and jungkook looked in the mirror to make sure he doesn't look terrible. they all piled into jin's car and they drove off the the nearest breakfast place.
