taehyung smiled as he looked at himself in the mirror, excited for his date tonight with jungkook. he was going to take him to an ice cream place then to a spot, that no one knows about, and watch the sun set. it's a spot taehyung has always loved going to, it's a cliff, basically, and he likes to sit at the edge and look at the city underneath his toes. he found it one day as he was adventuring around the forest outside of his town, and he then got lost but found the cliff. and ever since, he goes there. by himself of course.
he looked at the time on his phone, and it was almost 6 p.m. he bid his goodbyes to his parents and he walked down to jungkook's house.
when he got to the younger's house, he took a deep breath before knocking. jungkook quickly answered, and smiled at the beautiful boy in front of him.
"hi." taehyung smiled. they walked down the driveway and to the destination taehyung was leading to.
it was a quiet walk, they would steal glances at each other from time to time, but smile and blush whenever one got caught.
once they arrived, jungkook's face lit up, since he loves ice cream. it made taehyung smile, seeing how happy the younger got over an ice cream palace.
they ordered their ice cream, taehyung got strawberry and jungkook got vanilla. jungkook was walking towards a seat but taehyung stopped him.
"i uh actually have another place to go to." jungkook's mouth formed an 'o' shape, and slid out of the booth seat.
the older waited for the boy to catch up to him, then they slowly walked together, eating their ice cream. taehyung looked at the sky and saw it was close to when it will set, but luckily the hidden spot isn't far from them.
"you aren't afraid of height, right?"taehyung asked, stopping at the woods. jungkook shook his head and taehyung smiled."good." he grabbed onto the younger's wrist and pulled him through the forest, leaving a faint blush on jungkook's cheeks.
"here we are." taehyung breathed out, stopping when he reached a medium-ish rocky 'platform' that slyly cam out of the woods. he walked over to the edge and sat down, swinging his legs in the air. that sight made jungkook feel uneasy, because one little push and taehyung would die. don't touch him. he sat next to taehyung but didn't dare to put his legs out, but taehyung insisted.
"jungkook, it's okay. and didn't you say you aren't afraid of heights?" taehyung teased. jungkook smiled, then scooted up closer to the edge. taehyung smiled, and moved closer next to jungkook.
"i've always gone here when i was younger," taehyung said quietly. "i still do go here, pretty much everyday. if i had a bad day or if i was angry or sad or happy, or just fine. this place is where i'd go. it's not a well known place, only i know, i think, and i've never brought anyone here. or told anyone about it." jungkook smiled to himself, since he was the first and only person taehyung ever brought, and will probably ever bring.
jungkook was done with ice cream by now, and taehyung ate it slowly as he stared off into the sky. the way the sunset looks is beautiful, but what jungkook thinks is even more beautiful is the way the sunset's colors shine on taehyung's skin. the city, the sunset, and the boy next to him was all such a pretty sight to him. he's never felt calmer. yeah he may be overreacting, but he's never really seen something like this.
"jungkook," taehyung looked at the boy, who was staring at him. taehyung smiled, and jungkook blushed.
"what was the most beautiful moment in life, for you?" they locked eyes, and jungkook breathed in deeply. he tried looking away, but his eyes were looking straight into him. a smirk slipped onto taehyung's face, and that's when jungkook lost it. he looked away, and blushed deeply.
taehyung admired the boy's face, he was cute. very cute. he liked it when he blushed whenever taehyung said or did something, he liked it when the boy smiled, widley or a small smile. and his laugh is cute. taehyung quickly pulled out his phone and texted jin.
taehyung: is it too early to kiss on the first date?
eomma jin: date? dATE? who are you on a date with?!
taehyung: um well jungkookiebut can you answer my question
eomma jin: WOW SO CUTE I KNEW ITWOULD HAPPEN and kinda yeah. even though me and joon kissed on our first date but that's different
taehyung: how is it different?
eomma jin: idk cuz we like knew each other for years before he confessed his love to me then we dated, so yeah it's different since you two known each other for a few months, but if you want to kiss him go on right ahead theres no one stopping you.
taehyung: ugh okay thanks
taehyung put his phone away and looked at jungkook, who was staring at the city below him. just as the sun fully set, taehyung leaned closer and put his lips on jungkook's cheek pecking it softly. taehyung smiled, and jungkook's cheeks turned crimson and he smiled softly, not letting his happiness leave his body.
"do you have a specific time to be home?" the orange haired boy asked, and jungkook shook his head, and taehyung stood up. the younger looked at him questioningly, and taehyung pulled him up.
"i don't want to keep you out too late, i don't want to worry your mom." jungkook nodded, and they walked back to jungkook's house. suddenly a wave of confidence took over taehyung's body, so he stepped closer to jungkook and slipped his hand into the younger's, intertwining them. the younger smiled softly, and look at their hands.
jungkook's smile turned into a frown once they reached his house, he didn't want this night to end. taehyung stopped at the door and stood with jungkook, still holding hands. he then began swinging their hands slightly. "i had a good time jungkookie." he smiled. the younger nodded in agreement, smiling afterwards. taehyung stepped closer and let go of jungkook's hands and brought his face to his, and pressed his lips against jungkook's. jungkook was trying so hard not to smile. taehyung pulled away and smiled softly, jungkook doing the same.
"bye jungkook, i'll text you later." jungkook then went inside when taehyung walked away, and slid down the door once he was inside, with a big smile on his face. suddenly his phone started blowing up, incoming texts from joon, jimin, jin and hoseok. he smiled, seeing that the texts are them screaming about the date. he was assuming taehyung told them, so he replied to them all, all with just a simple 'lol'. something he says a lot.
he kept rethinking about the time he had with taehyung, and their kiss. his first kiss and it was with taehyung. he wasn't complaining, he just wasn't expecting him to kiss him. jungkook eventually fell asleep in his bed, of course falling asleep to the thought about the date.
