Arthit decided to  - well, not apologise but to make up for his mistake the previous day. He left for the campus in a lighter mood, phrases ready on the tip of his tongue for the tall freshman. Everything had been going steadily and like the usual for the first half of the day. Bright had been joking about how he was bullying some kids (like Em) into giving him chocolates (which earned him a solid kick from Toot) and that he was getting texts on LINE from some Weirdo. Prem and Knot had been discussing about their change in diet and the hot lady trainer in their gym. Arthit had been listening to them but not really paying attention because he had been anxious. Then, the lunch hour started and they filed out of their classroom, heading straight for the cafeteria.

Arthit had been wrong. His mood hadn't become better and seeing Kongphob and Praepailin talking to each other considerably soured it. He followed his friends, Bright leading them, ready to flirt with the pretty first year. He hung back, watching their interaction even when he didn't want to. He laughed at Bright's silly attempts to get her to sit with him.

But then the busybody Kongphob interjected, "Ai'Prae came to reserve the table for her friends." What did it matter to 0062? He had to always butt his nose in other's business. "And, if you are all going to sit here, then, there won't be enough room for them." Arthit scoffed.

He is worried about her and her friends, huh?

"You're worried about her? Is there something going on between you two?" Bright verbalised his thoughts. Kongphob and Praepailin just exchanged a look instead of replying. Wow. "I can't even just sit?" Jealousy, anger burned inside of him like poison. This was how things were like then? He should have known Kongphob wasn't being serious with him and there he,Arthit was going on building castles in the air, kissing the boy, feeling for him. Arthit was a total idiot. He was rankled. He made a total fool out of himself. Didn't he? "Okay, fine." Bright said. It wasn't. "n'Prae, go ahead and sit, we'll go and find another table." Bright started walking towards the next table, their friends following him. Arthit felt sick with the anger bubbling in him. It took him a beat more to process that he should follow them too. He didn't want to be left behind. He wanted to get away from the boy and his own stupid wants that had been awakening in his heart.

"P'Arthit?" Kongphob stopped him by his arm. Arthit snatched his hand back with a jerk as if burned by the touch.

"Don't touch!", Arthit snarled fury getting the better of him. He regretted it instantly seeing Kongphob's hurt expression.  He pulled up the strap of his bag, looking away from the younger boy, guilty and bristled at the freshmen staring at him from their seat. "What are you looking at?" He snapped.

"You dropped your pen." Kongphob extended the pen to Arthit. "I just wanted to pick it up for you."

Arthit, again, on an impulse had done the wrong thing. "Thanks," he said softly and turned away from the boy to go and sit with his friends, all of whom had quizzical looks but weren't asking anything afraid he'd yell at them. He glanced back to check on Kongphob, to see if the boy had his usual kicked-puppy expression only to find him talking to Praepailin.
