ㅤㅤi was only one step ahead to their main door when i heard noises coming from inside. because of curiosity, i placed my right ear against the wooden door and closed my eyes as i focus on listening.
"i don't want to tell him." a feminine voice said.
"then don't." a man answered.
"b-but i don't know what excuse should i say to him." her tone sounded sad.
"if so, just stay silent and leave peacefully, as easy as that."
"b-but he'll be hurt if i disappear without him knowing. i don't want that to happen."
"so what?"
the conversation ended there when suddenly i heard the door clicks. i nervously hid behind the bushes that was located beside the door and still peeking secretly.
"hey, just calm down. don't make this a big deal. i know he'll be hurt but the real question here is, so what? it's not like you really love him anyway. wait. does he love you though? i bet you he doesn't. and plus, this is for you, put yourself before anyone else," a man appeared from my sight. based on what i noticed, he seems to have difficulty on speaking korean.
"you're wrong, i love him. i love him so much than you ever know." a very familiar voice replied.
i can feel tears forming to my eyes. it's been a year since i heard that voice, the soothing voice that i wanted to hear every day.
i want to come out and say how much i missed her.
love, i miss you very much.
"if that's the case, nothing will change. you still have to go abroad with us, you're obliged to do so." he answered, narrowing his eyes.
finally, the woman he was talking to, moved and appeared on my sight. my heart quickens its rhythm. "can't i just stay?" joohyun pleaded, her eyes were red and there was a stained tear on her cheeks. "the doctors here are excellent too."
"na-dah, your parents already agreed to this and it's also good for you."
"they did but not me." she answered, sounding hopeless.
"you signed the contract."
"because my parents forced me too. i really don't want to go there." she suddenly cried and reach for the man's hand. i felt jealousy and anger crept on to me but i took a deep breath to make myself calm. "i will never be happy if we force things, we'll just regret it in the end. do you want that? living with that feeling?"
"i don't care." he answered stubbornly. "you know what? i've been really patient with you these days but you keep pushing my limits. you don't want me to force you too, right?"
"please don't." she answered, a lot of tears are falling from her eyes. "chan, i beg you, please let him be with me until i go to australia. don't disturb me for a while."
"and why would it do that?"
"because i told you so." joohyun answered and i frowned.
wait.
what's going on here?
and what date is it?
i thought about the airplane incident, not this one, so what am i doing here? was it because time machine wasn't working properly and this is a side effect?
the man, whose name is chan, looked at her and sigh, "alright. i'm not going to show up around you but make sure you'll go abroad or else..."
"please don't threaten me, i already know what should i do so please go now." joohyun said and chan quickly went to his car and leave.
joohyun was now left alone, she was crying her so hard that i just want to give her a very tight hug.
how dare that man make her cry? i got mad at the thought but then... i made her cry too. i'm no different with that man.
suddenly, she grabs the hem of her dress and wipe her face. when she was already calm, she took her phone, typed something to it and say, "taehyung, let's meet at the flower park."
i tried to remember this memory over and over again... i think this happened a week before she left.
when she went back to her house, i secretly went to her car and hid myself on the trunk. "things i'm willing to do now for you."
