Jacob

"Thanks for the ride!" I wave at Hunter as he pulls away from my house. I notice my parents cars aren't in the driveway, perfect.

I convinced Emily to come over, finally after bugging her all lunch period. My overall plan was to take things slow and hopefully tonight she would let me cross her off the list.

I open the front door and throw my bag on the couch. My phone buzzes from my hoodie pocket and I quickly pull it out.

from: emily
>> I'll be there soon

I look down at the message and smirk. This had to work, actually, correction, this is going to work.

to: emily
>> okay babe

I set my phone on the counter and go upstairs to my room. If I wanted Emily to give me any chance at all, I needed to make my room look nice. Girls like that shit, right?

I scan my room and sigh, this is going to take forever. I first start off by making my bed, there were still wrinkles which actually drove me insane but whatever, they're not going away.

I pick up any dirty clothes in sight and throw them in my hamper which was in the closet. After picking up tons of Arizona tea cans, I was finally done.

I hear the doorbell from downstairs and hurry to the front door. I look at myself in the mirror placed on the living room wall and fix my shirt before turning the door knob.

Emily nervously looks down at the ground before looking up at me. "Hi," She speaks softly.

I hold my hand out and to my surprise she takes it. I smile and lead her inside, shutting the door behind us.

"So, what am I doing here exactly?" She asks with a low chuckle and scans the front room of my house.

I pull her closer to me and snake my arms around her waist. "I just wanted to spend time with you,"

I notice her cheeks turn a light pink as she looks up at me. "Oh," She says simply, looking away.

Her arms wrap around the back of my neck and I bite by bottom lip, smiling.

"I like when you're not so-" I pause trying to think of something to say that wasn't too mean.

"Bitchy?" She finishes for me, causing us both to laugh. I nod my head and she shyly smiles.

"Do you want anything to drink?" I ask, not wanting to take her straight up to my room. She nods her head. I pull away and walk into the kitchen, hearing Emily follow behind me.

I open the fridge and scan the interior. "Water, milk or orange juice?" I ask Emily who was now standing in front of the counter.

"Water is fine," She smiles, putting both her hands on the counter and pushing herself up. Her legs dangle off the edge, patiently waiting.

I grab a water bottle from the fridge and open the cap, walking over to Emily.

"Here you go," I smile, standing between her legs. She brings the bottle up to her lips and takes a sip. I take my arms and wrap them around her waist.

She carefully sets the bottle down besides us and tucks a stray strand of hair behind her ear.

"I like when you do that," I watch as Emily plays with her hands.

"Do what?" She nervously asks.

"Look away with a smile on your face," I watch as she blushes and tries to hide her smile by putting both hands over her face.

I take my hands and put them on her arms, gently pulling her hands away from her face.

"Ten times prettier when I can see your face," I compliment her. She smiles and shakes her head.

"What do you want to do?" She asks, looking directly in my eyes. I bring my hands to rest on her knees and watch as she places her hands over mine.

"We can go upstairs," I suggest, expecting her to back out. She shocks me when she nods her head and smiles.

I help her off of the counter and grab her hand, intertwining our fingers. She looks up at me and grins, as I lead us upstairs.

"Ladies first," I open my room door, stepping to the side. She giggles before walking past me and entering the room. I follow behind her and shut the door behind us, locking it.

"Clean," She looks around and nods her head in approval. "I like it."

"Yeah, it's like always this way," I lie, laughing in the process.

She sits on my bed and I sit beside her. "You're a bad liar, Jacob." She smiles, crossing her legs.

"Wait a minute-" She lays back. "You have a memory foam bed!" She says in excitement, stretching her arms out.

I laugh and watch as she scoots back, resting her head on the pillows. "I do,"

I turn over and place my hand above Emily's head, my body towering over hers. We stare into each other eyes, not breaking the contact.

"Can I kiss you, Emily?" I look down at her, scanning between her eyes and her lips. She keeps frozen, not saying anything.

"Emily, please. Let me know if I can." I bring my other hand to hold onto her hip.

"Yes, kiss me." She says as almost a whisper. I watch as her chest rises up and down.

I lean my head down, attaching my lips with her soft ones. She instantly kisses me back, it being obvious she's done this before, but with who?

A soft moan escapes her mouth as I bite softly on her bottom lip. I was about to trail my hand further up her torso, when she places her hands on my chest, signaling me to stop.

"What's wrong?" I ask with concern, which was rare for me.

She sits up and puts her hands in her lap. I sit in front of her, watching her facial expressions.

"Jacob, what are we?" She says, making my chest feel heavy.

Aye they finally kissed.
